I will NOT reconsider. It is a damn STUPID idea. If you look at the crime stats reported weekly in the Lake Worth Herald, these are all LW and 3 to 4 times that of any surrounding city. Crime in not going to stop here in LW as we are a sanctuary city (even though they deny that)and this commission has buried/ignored the problem. In the same breath, they commend PBSO for lowering crime. It is pathetic. To think a name change will make a difference is laughable. And no one can tell us the costs, not one commissioner, even the man who runs this city. Scott Maxwell brought this forward...another ridiculous idea. History matters, anonymous and this commission should address the problem instead of giving us silly stats that crime is down 27%. BS.
