"The lack of vision for Lake Worth by Mayor Pam Triolo, commissioners and the CRA (appointed by the commissioners) is, to say the least, disappointing. This fixation on a parking garage, license plate readers, red light cameras and changing the name of town the seem to only promote fear and confusion.
City Manager Michael Bornstein tells the public “there is nothing nefarious” going on with the parking garage project, so who is the one owner benefiting from this sale of historic properties?
As a community, we should be asking or demanding our elected officials to expand solar and wind power, to develop publicly owned broadband for downtown and commercial district areas. Create more green space, such as parks and recreational facilities throughout our town, and preserve our historical buildings by whatever means possible instead of selling them.
Lake Worth is such a unique treasure that should be saved and promoted as a destination in south Florida like no other.
James Thomson, Lake Worth"

So...do you have any thoughts on this, Lynn, or are you just waiting for people to respond and see what the consensus is before you take a position and start berating anyone who doesn't agree with you?
Maybe the question is are you able to have any independent thoughts of your own and present them in a way that is thoughtful and considerate?
I have expressed how I feel about these amendments. I guess you have a big problem only reading what you want or not comprehending what you read here. Take your pick.
Perhaps you should learn how to be "thoughtful and considerate" and stop bashing here...post under your real name. But oh no, way too cowardly to do that. It is easy to poke me anonymously.

10:11am your post makes no sense. Thanks for posting this, Lynne.
The Sarasota Tribune? I'm sure it is just me.
Lynn a lot of talk is to build or not build a wall on our SW border but I think we should build a wall around LW's city limits to keep all LW residents and illegals inside LW as this town and politicians are out of their minds. LW as become full of crime, drug dealers and politicians who only consider what's good for them. Our utilities can't keep good employees employed and those that are do not have any knowledge on how to run a good and reliable utility.
That's a profound statement 8:36, considered from the vantage point that my father said years ago: "some day, they're going to put a wall around this place". He wasn't talking about Lake Worth, he was talking about the country.
