SCOTUS Just Made Landmark Ruling That Reins in the Power of Government

We keep reading about overreach of state and local governments seizing property in order to beef up their budgets. Now, greedy state attorneys will be kept in check. SCOTUS ruled on excessive property rights seizures from individuals charged or convicted of a crime.

The court unanimously ruled that the Eighth Amendment protection against excessive fines in cases of individuals charged or convicted of a crime applies not only to the federal government but also to the states’ seizure of property and other assets.

Do not agree with this ruling. This drug dealing POS should have lost his car because he used it in the commission of a felony.As a matter of fact,he should have lost his life. I'm for the death penalty for all drug dealers.
