VA Accountability and Whistleblower Act

Now incompetents can be fired!

Yesterday, the U.S. Senate passed the Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act of 2017.

The bill gives the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs more authority to fire, demote or suspend senior VA officials for misconduct and poor performance, and requires the secretary to implement whistleblower protection training and update the program every two years. The legislation also establishes by law, a position of assistant secretary for Accountability and Whistleblower Protection.

Fort Harrison VA needs to be cleaned up, one star rating, no accountability there.
