It goes without saying that the death of Otto Warmbier is an unspeakable tragedy. Having said that, he is not the first, nor is he the last missionary to be kidnapped or killed in a hostile country. This has been going on for centuries. The US can express its' grief and displeasure at the country responsible for this atrocity, but that is where it ends. If someone were to look up the statistics of foreign visitors murdered while vacationing in America, I think they would be very sad indeed.
Who said he was a "missionary?" He was a tourist.
And give us the foreign visitors murdered by our government.
So what do you want to do about it after you get done feeling bad about it? He was a tourist influenced by the Methodist Church. Why does the State Department allow Americans to go there? He is not the only prisoner held by NK. Would you go there? He wasn't a journalist. He had no legitimate reason to be over there agitating a hostile government. The only reason you're focused on it is because it's a hot button news item. Suppose it happened in Sudan, or Libya, or Chad, or Mali?
Other than pulling a college prank by taking a banner that did not belong to him, he was not agitating the North Korean government. They arrested him because he was American and because they are a brutal regime and because it was just one more thing to throw up to our government.
I'm focused on it because this is an enemy who is hell bent on starting World War III.

You might as well face the fact that the US is in the last days of its' inevitable decline, thanks in part to morons like you.
The only decline happening in our country has been and is instigated by liberals, progressives, anarchists, socialists and communists who were influenced by Obama. Do you fit in anywhere?
You are right about that Lynn. The problem is that once something is in decline, it is very difficult to reverse the process.
