TEMPORARY LAKE WORTH POOL CLOSURE
It is with deep disappointment that the City of Lake Worth has announced a temporary closure of the Lake Worth Municipal Pool. In a recent routine safety and risk analysis inspection performed by Ben Few & Company Inc., Risk Managers for the City, it was determined that the deteriorating condition of the pool pump room spalling concrete ceiling and walls constitutes a dangerous and possibly life threatening condition to city employees needing access to the pump house due to large chunks of ceiling falling unexpectedly. The City was directed to immediately close the building to all employees and guests until the building can be returned to a safe working environment.
The pool pump room is the heart of the pool operation and must be entered on a daily basis to check for proper water chemistry and to ensure the essential equipment is functioning properly. In addition other important daily pool pump room functions that have to be monitored include:
• Check scan- troll chemical feeders.
• Check chemical readings on scan -trolls.
• Check and or adjust chemical feeder function.
• Check water levels in balance tank levels.
• Add chemicals, sodium bicarb and algaecide.
• Check Chlorine and PH levels out of return ports.
• Once a week for at least 3 hours- Back wash.
• Check plumbing for any leaks that may have formed.
• Check chemical feed lines to ensure no Acid or chlorine leaks.
• Adjust valves to maintain proper water levels and water flow rates.
A contractor has been hired to complete the repairs to the pool pump room, repairs are scheduled to begin October 4, 2016. Estimated time for completion of the repairs is one week.
The City will issue updates on the situation via social media and press releases. We apologize for any inconvenience to our residents and visitors, and we appreciate your understanding that the safety of our employees is a top priority.

Democrats - Vomiting up False Firestorms
And this is why Donald Trump is taking the heat

false firestorms

What our crazy "leader" is about to do
This proposal is to essentially give up the US oversight role of the Internet that it has had for the last 20 years for the entire commercial lifespan of the Internet to a company called ICANN. If this happens it is an irreversible decision. Obama is allowing free expression to potentially be thrown out the window to possible foreign governments who might not share our values. Refugees in Fargo
Obama has caused a living hell in Fargo with the number of refugees that have been resettled in that city. And he is resettling more into our country. States have no idea where these people are being placed and the American citizen is picking up the tab.
As I keep hearing about how some just "love our diversity in Lake Worth," perhaps we're next. Why not? Everything else is dumped here.
The City of Fargo and their county are involved in the costs of housing, education, etc. and they even had a Muslim refugee killer. The Somali refugee who attacked mall shoppers in St. Cloud, Minnesota was originally resettled in Fargo. His brother is housed in their jail for felony drug charges.

Trump and the Press
There is no loving feeling here--
Hillary's single weapon
Hillary's single weapon
It's true--the news media is not endorsing Donald Trump. In fact, they have gone out of their way to endorse Hillary Clinton, some of which have never endorsed a Democrat. They certainly "come around" to see and write on what Trump has to say, however. Trump makes them money.
They are one phony bunch. "Those who work in the “news” industry are obsessed with promoting lies and half-truths to destroy political candidates they do not like, instead of just doing their jobs and reporting the news," says the Valley Patriot.
Trump Endorsements
"One of the things I'm going to do if I win... I'm going to open up our libel laws so when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money," Trump said during a rally in Fort Worth, Texas.
And talking to the Press:
At least there are some reporters endorsing Trump...
No cell phone use while driving in California
California, the kookiest state in the country just got a little less kooky. Governor Jerry Brown finally has made a sensible decision.
Starting in January, California residents can no longer drive and use their cell phones -- for anything.
Drivers will have a few months to mentally adjust (that will be tough for Californians) before the new law is enforced. The goal is to cut down on the number of accidents caused by distracted driving.

Carousel Antiques Closing
It's a shame what's happening to Lake Worth. I'm not sure what the overall problem is that is causing businesses to fold but I can't help but believe that it is the take-over of our downtown by bars, nightclubs, vape, panhandlers, addicts, crime and the homeless. Yesterday I went to a downtown Lake Worth store at 1:30 and it was closed. I had a message from the owner later who said that business has been "terrible" and she is opening a little later in the day.
Now we have Fred Chalker of Carousel Antique Center, a business that has been in downtown Lake Worth for 50 years, who is moving on--he no longer is making money in downtown Lake Worth. He has sold his building and the new owner says he will build two more stories. William Waters, says "Wait a minute there."

Clock Kid returns to follow his "American Dream"
Clock Boy is a "ballsy" kid. After pulling what many believe/know was a hoax, Clock Kid has returned with his family to Texas just in time to sue everyone imaginable--the American Dream. He had been living in Quatar for the past 9 months with a free education that he describes as "amazing." He was invited to the Whitehouse by Obama and liberals were claiming Islamophobia after he was questioned about his "cool" invention that he brought to school.
Ben Shapiro said last year that "within the first forty-eight hours it was clear that this was a bit of a set-up and it was clear that the story didn’t hold together.” Shapiro theorized that Mohamed “took the guts out of an old clock, you can see people do it on YouTube. He literally took the guts out of an old clock, the wiring, and he put it inside of a pencil box and proceeded to bring that into the school and this is not the first family incident that has been like this. His sister had an incident in 2009 that was somewhat similar.” Shapiro was referring to a report from Breitbart News that stated that “the sister of the boy who brought a suspected hoax-bomb to his Texas high school said she was suspended from a school in a prior bomb scare.” Read about it...
Clock Kid doesn't like people saying "nasty" things about him and his father is suing The Blaze, Glenn Beck, Center for Security Policy, Fox Television Stations, LLC, Ben Ferguson, and Beth Van Duyne, as well as Shapiro.
They have also sued the City of Irving and the school district for some $15 million claiming Islamophobia. Poor dear.

Hillary played the abused woman "trump" card
"She got fat," said Trump.
Hillary's beauty queen reference from last night was to prove, in her politically twisted mind, that Trump hates women.
Hillary Clinton claimed that the Miss Universe pageant’s 1996 winner, Alicia Machado, was brutalized by Trump after she gained weight during her reign, which is against the pageant's rules. "Trump had just become co-owner of the Miss Universe organization when the alleged verbal abuse took place."
She gained 30 pounds while wearing the crown--she got fat! But the beauty queen has a very interesting past. Read what else she has done:

Hillary Won the Debate
Why is Clinton wearing red and Trump wearing blue? Was this some "compatibility" thing--bringing the sides together in a moment of togetherness?
My personal opinion of last night's debate? Trump didn't lose any voters but he didn't gain any either. It seemed as if every question was posed to Hillary first. Then Donald Trump was forced to rebut and always be on the defensive. Her two minutes went on forever. Hillary was concerned about fact-checking so much that she lied as usual.
She lied about what Trump has called women. She lied when she said she was originally against NAFTA. She insinuated that everyone was racially prejudice when she said, “Implicit bias is a problem for everyone, not just police.” Clinton called Trump's concerns about Obama's birth certificate "racist" and said Trump had a long record of racism never naming the records to prove her egregious charge. Trump accused her of having a bad temperament and she had that temperament all well choreographed last night. Hillary Clinton looked presidential and her practice debate sessions paid off. She knew exactly when to attack and when to look like a leader.
Donald Trump has some work to do. Clinton was a formidable foe, the best Trump has been against. He found that out last night.

Lake Worth Library - 75 Years
On Saturday, I attended the 75th year celebration of our Lake Worth Library. It was a fascinating tour with many of our friends in attendance. It was conducted by Vickie Joslin, Library Services Supervisor. It featured the history of our library, 70,000 books, historical artifacts and several paintings by Reginald Sherman Winston, woodcarvings by Samuel J. Schlappich. Our art is second only to the Library of the Four Arts in Palm Beach. We are also the proud owners of a little more history--a bullet that was found on the men’s room floor in 1942, remnants of a blackout during the war when someone shot out the light that was still on at the library.
In their historical section they have every publication of the Lake Worth Herald since inception. There are 14 computers with Internet access for the public use and while we were there, every one of them was in use.
I commented on the beautiful blue painted rooms and asked when the walls were painted--14 years ago was the answer. They still look fresh and new. There are lots of programs for children and their rooms were bright and inviting as was the entire library. Vickie said that they will be getting some new furniture, funding that is in the budget, the first time in many years.

And we get the China connection--the chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in China.

Fans should boycott NFL over protests
Most all American citizens recognize and agree with freedom of speech and peaceful protest given to us in our Constitution.
Kudos to longtime Dolphin fan and World War II veteran John Jordan for The Palm Beach Post article, “Anthem protest rankles WWII vet, fan: I’m done with the Dolphins” (Sept 13), saying he will not watch and will boycott the Dolphins.
I feel that the overwhelming majority of NFL fans do not support the movement started by Colin Kaepernick and then followed by other NFL players, not to stand at attention for the national anthem. Maybe now would be a good time for NFL fans to show their disapproval by boycotting games, NFL products and companies that advertise on NFL games.

Massive debt bad fix for Lake Worth
The city of Lake Worth plans to take a 30-year loan for $40 million to re-do roads. With a 3.92 percent interest rate over 30 years, that’s $68 million. There are 13,000 properties in the city. One-third of those 13,000 properties do not pay property taxes because they are assessed at less than $50,000 of value. So, $68 million divided by 8,666 equals $7,846 per property. That’s an average. Some homeowners will pay more and some will pay less, depending on their property’s assessed value. This tab is landing in the laps of residents with a median household income of $35,000.
Sadly, before this debt has been repaid, those roads are going to wear out.

Miracles do happen - I agree with Obama
Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump played politics on Obama's veto of the 9/11 bill which would have allowed the families of 9/11 victims to sue the government of Saudi Arabia.
Hillary Clinton said that if she were president, she would sign it. Donald Trump called Obama's action, "shameful." Both opinions were not well thought out.
Obama's reasoning for vetoing the bill was that the legislation "undermines core United States interests upending the normal means by which the government singles out foreign nations as state sponsors of terrorism and opening U.S. officials and military personnel to legal jeopardy."
It would open a can of worms where anyone's relatives who had a family member killed by U.S. soldiers in the line of duty, could/would end up suing us and win.

Bodegon, a Supermarket catering to the Spanish speaking shopper
Hey wait, this is the United States of America. People speak English here or perhaps they should if they are citizens.
In order to be a citizen, "you will need to show that you can speak and read in English. You will need to demonstrate your English skills at your citizenship interview. The USCIS officer who interviews you will of course address you in English, and observe how well you respond to questions and instructions. The officer will also ask you to read a short passage, and to write a sentence that he or she says aloud (dictates) to you."
I remember shopping in Bodegon when it first opened on Lake Worth Road at the Town & Country Shopping Center. It was only a few years ago. I had shopped at Publix there ever since that had opened. On that first visit to Bodegon, I encountered no one speaking English. Needless to say, I have not been back. Now I understand that they do have some employees who speak English.
However, is it possible that they are not interested in the American English speaking citizen as a shopper? Is it the ever-growing illegal alien population that they want to attract? Why would they have an insert consisting of two pages, folded, such as this in the Palm Beach Post printed all in Spanish? Why would they discourage an entire demographic?

Debate commission denies Hillary’s request for step-stool
(Infowars) – Hillary Clinton routinely requires a step-stool for support during long speeches, but can’t use one for the upcoming presidential debate, a fact which could derail her campaign completely.
The presidential debate commission denied her request for a step-stool at her podium for the Sept. 26 debate, according to the Drudge Report, and as Infowars reported in Aug., Hillary cannot give a speech without having a step-stool – or a Secret Service agent – to lean on for support.

Quote of the Day - Allen West
Let me make myself very clear here, whomever this misguided soul is, he or she has picked the wrong fight. This reminds me of the statement by John Kerry that if the media just didn’t talk about Islamic terrorism, it would not be an issue. This “administrator” at St. Louis University represents the most deplorable embodiment of fascism. Here we are less than a week from a weekend of Islamic terrorist attacks and this individual does not want students to have an in-depth discussion about the most serious, savage, and barbaric threat this Nation has faced — well, at least since the Barbary Pirates.

FDOT and its plans for 6th Avenue South
On September 15, Katie and I attended FDOT's meeting held at John Prince Park regarding the two state plans presented in order to evaluate preliminary engineering and environmentally feasible solutions, such as widening 6th Avenue South and the I-95 interchange, adding bike lanes on 6th Avenue South. This is in order to address the future capacity, operations and safety needs of the roadway. We both liked plan #2 as there was no eminent domain involved.
We were told that plan implementation, costing anywhere from $9 million to $11 million, is needed to support the growth projected in year 2040.
I can't help but think it might have to do with the Atlanta Braves and this county commission wanting to hand over 100 plus acres to them. Can you even imagine the traffic on a typical baseball day in a stadium that is expecting to hold 10,000 people? It will be slowed to a halt and bumper to bumper. 6th Avenue South is already a bottleneck. With the expected all Aboard Florida additional trains, it will be virtually impossible at that Interchange.
