What the General Obligation Bond will cost you

The City of Lake Worth now has its bond tax calculator up on its web site. What we don't know is if this calculation includes all legal costs (bond counsel and the city's) as well as interest. But remember, values will rise and this is a lien on your property for 30 years.

All those with high priced properties will be paying a lot. In a few years, the average guy might be hurting as values go up.

Our small businesses and rental properties will get the biggest increases in their taxes while folks that have low tax values and have lived here for years will pay very little. The tax burden is not fairly shared by our citizens.

You may not think it "fair" anonymous but do you think that advalorem taxes are fair? You pay taxes per the value of your property. That's how it is in America. Always has been. This is not a communist country.

Vote AGAINST this citizen holdup.

Fix the potholes with extra revenue from increased property values.

Stop delaying.

City Manager: do your job, you certainly get paid enough.
