As the economy still heads south, wages across the country are stagnated unless, of course, you are with a union or work for a city government. These people still don't get it or don't care. We had to trim our budget, lay people off, close our beach for two days, to name a few of the cut-backs. We still managed to raise salaries at 5% and more.
Pay freezes are becoming more and more commonplace as the private sector tries not to lay off employees. Even President Obama froze the salaries of his Aides making $100,000 a year or more.
