Top Democrat threw Nancy Pelosi under the bus

"In a recent legislative battle, a House Democrat did not hesitate to betray Nancy Pelosi amid the Democrat Party’s continued fracturing following crushing Election Day defeat.

House Republicans have adopted term limits for how long someone can hold a lead role on a committee.

The system permits new and fresh faces to have the opportunity to oversee each committee while preventing overly entrenched incumbents from obtaining far too much power and influence.

During House leadership elections, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) attempted to be elected as the ranking Democrat for the powerful House Oversight Committee. If selected for the role, she would have been lined up to become the Chairwoman of the committee the next time the Democrat Party took majority in the House.

Her opposing candidate for the committee role was Representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA), – an establishment Democrat. According to Punchbowl News, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) had been working behind closed doors to shill for Connolly while “actively working to tank” AOC’s bid."

Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), age 44, was furious and condemned Pelosi, age 85, and her own party for not getting younger blood and for backing Gerry Connelly, age 74.
