Palm Beach County is the focus on the world map once again

How will Donald Trump's presence the next four years affect Palm Beach County municipalities?

Palm Beach County leaders weighed in before Monday's Inauguration Day in Washington, DC.

As United States officials prepared for the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump on Jan. 20, so do city leaders throughout Palm Beach County.

“President Trump‘s election has continued to put Palm Beach County at the center of the national focus,” Mayor of Boca Raton Scott Singer said. “It’s great timing because Boca Raton continues to be the economic engine driving the county with more than half the corporate headquarters in the county located here.”

Elsewhere in the county, Lake Worth Beach Mayor Betty Resch did not address any questions about Trump before the inauguration, instead, speaking on the city’s safety. “We will continue to do our best to keep our city a safe and pleasant place to live,” Resch said in an email.

Juno Beach Mayor Peggy Wheeler said she sees an “economic boost” throughout the county when Trump is in town.
