More than 70 million Americans are drinking from tap water that contains toxic 'forever chemicals' linked to cancer, official data suggests.
These microscopic, man-made chemicals, also known as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), can take thousands of years to break down in the environment or in the human body, hence the name 'forever chemicals.'
They have been linked to several lasting health problems, including several types of cancer, hormone disruption and liver damage and the health problems they cause are quietly costing the US $250 billion a year in healthcare.

Just heard back from Mr. Heady:
Dear Ms. Anderson,
I hope you are doing well. I wanted to share some information regarding Lake Worth Beach's water quality. As you can see from the chart below, the combined Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances PFAS level in our drinking water is 35.7 ppt, which is almost half of the EPA's established combined Health Advisory level for PFOA and PFOS at 70 parts per trillion (ppt). The EPA is currently in the process of changing the industry-wide Health Advisory levels. The new standards are expected to be announced at the end of next month.
Please know that we take the water quality issue very seriously and always strive to provide our residents with the best possible water quality. To achieve this, we constantly utilize innovative technology and make necessary changes to our facility to comply with the rules and regulations.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are always here to help.

In other words, our water is safe?
Nice of him to respond, but what did he say.
I think you're probably safer drinking German Beer!
I take it that he told us that our water is tested and it is twice as good as the EPA standard.
We’re not a 3rd world country yet so I’ll continue to take it for granted and focus on work and making money.
