Texas Gov. Abbott Rolls Out Border Military Base to Stem Migrant Flow

Governor Greg Abbott (R) revealed plans for Texas to establish a military base in Eagle Pass, a border city, in order to address the influx of illegal migrants permitted by the Biden administration.

The Texas Military Department will construct a Forward Operating Base on 80 acres of land along the Rio Grande to house up to 1,800 Texas National Guard soldiers.

Additionally, there will be facilities available for an extra 500 soldiers.
