Just when you think that it can't get worse--
Shanon Materio, Lake Worth's former member of its CRA and presently a city commissioner in West Palm Beach wrote a letter to the New York Parole Board to free a convicted murderer who butchered her husband. This murderer beat her husband with a bat, covered his head with a plastic bag, sat on his chest and punched his face according to the Post article. Four commissioners got in on the act with two who did not write letters--Kimberly Mitchell, BFF with Shanon, even offered this sick convicted butcher a job with the City.
Now she's up for parole after 20 years and 4 commissioners went to bat for her...all for politics. Read about it...and follow the dots to this political intrigue and what politicians will do for a vote.

This is just pretty damn sick. Shanon,the mobsters daughter, participated in the bankrupting of the Lake Worth CRA. Her "let them eat cake" attitude,plus a complete contempt of the public, led the CRA to spend millions on 6th avenue south and tenth ave. north. According to Scott Maxwell,this debt is the reason that the present Commission will not take over the CRA. Anybody else believe that piece if B.S. ? Materio was instrumental in turning these two roads into death traps for any pedestrians trying to cross them. Materio also walked door to door in the last bond election trying to convince people that the cash grab by her friends in the Lake Worth Commission was actually a good thing.Rumor(the person who Materio threatened told me this to my face but won't for obvious reasons come forward) has it that she threatened people who live in Lake Worth but do business with the city of West Palm that they "better vote the RIGHT WAY "if they wanted to continue to do business with West Palm.One businessman was told by Materio to remove his vote no bond sign from his yard.A mobster's daughter, indeed. And how in the world has Materio's business(stained glass) survived when people can't even buy food for their families ? Materio really did learn the BIZ from her Dad. And I'm not talking stained glass.

Materio's business sure did benefit from her time in the CRA. Want to see research,4:05? Find out what Manalapan paid to totally re-do 1.5 miles along A1A, then find out what Jeff Clemen's and Shanon Materio's CRA paid for 10th and 6th ave. 4:05 ,you probably were watching re-runs of Gilligan's Island and didn't even realize that there was a bond issue for Materio and the other Money -Grabbers to slobber over.4:05 ,want to understand Materio? It's real simple. Materio is for-MATERIO. Now pull your head out of whatever azz it's stuck up and try to understand that you ,me and the people that are trying to survive down here don't benefit from the political games that Materio thinks it's ok to play. Shannon Materio was so far after those roads were approved, designed and contractor hired! Maybe a look back at the CRA board members and time frames would help you? Although that takes a bit of time on the internet...LOL. One road construction project can not compare to another. Such a flawed logic? Want to compare resurfacing of one to another ok. How about undergrounding utiltities? Think that might make a difference? Go take your argument to your afternooon card game....
No above don't lie. Materio was IN THE THICK of this road rip-off.She was not"after" anything! SHE, Materio, allowed the planning of a pedestrian death trap, despite citizen pleas.And yes, one road repair DOES compare to another. Materio and her "let them eat cake" cohorts on the CRA then are responsible for the huge debts we have to pay off now. If anything the Manalapan job was more difficult from engineering standards.
And back to the original post anon above, how do you feel about Materio begging for a butcher to get freed so she can get political capital?Political WHORE is the term that comes to mind.
