Ask but don't tell

Comment Up

The city is totally silent on some issues--are these two of the reasons listed below as to why they just transferred $12.5  million from reserves?  It's no wonder we need a general obligation bond passed...there are other uses and serious problems besides roads and attracting developers. This is the most secretive commission and city administration in my time. You can ask but they will not tell or you don't get the entire story.

As of September 30, 2012, the City's total outstanding debt was $72.4 million.  Of this amount, $60.4 million is secured by specific enterprise fund revenue sources. That leaves $12 million that was unsecured. We still have an outstanding obligation of over $3 million for the CRA in Gateway improvements.

12.5 million of our tax dollars that will disappear into the pockets of Lake Worth Commissioners and employees. Just like the Greater Bay "BIG POOL FUC$" of several years ago. Cara Jennings was the only one on the dais demanding to see receipts. The Mayor and the rest of the Commission at that time blasted her for having the nerve to even ask for receipts. Just like the "BIG 6TH AND 10TH AVE FUC$" that was pulled off by a previous CRA.
They must all be having quite a "pizza party" over at city hall and it's annex- Dave's Last Resort on Lake.
