Doing a quick search on sunbiz.org, there is only one active corporation with "Genesis" in it's name. It is not Genesis Neighborhood Association.
The 1st of the three requirements for inclusion in the NAPC is
"Members Associations must be incorporated in the State of Florida as a non-profit corporation and maintain active incorporation status."
I can't speak to Genesis' status on the other two requirements.
When you look on the NAPC website they show Genesis on the map, but refer to others, Mary L told us that Genesis has dissolved into two other neighborhood associations, and there is no more Genesis. I think one is memorial Park and not sure of the other name. Ask Mary L she is the president of NAPC, College Park, and knows everything in this city. Mark and Mary are friends and they know what is going on, go to the sources.

Sounds like it's time for some Competition, no? Gotta be a non-profit and INC to be included, why? Grant $ for WHAT??? Things a handful want that the majority know nothing about!

So what is going on here? I am confused. I know Mark and Mary always talk about how Mark is renting Mary's old house on North B Street in Tropical Ridge NA and Mary bought a new house in College Park and is the President of CP and the NACP. They should know what is going on. Good point, how can Mark be the President of Genesis if he now lives in Tropical Ridge? Who knows what is going on here? Mary is President of NAPC, I do not understand why she hasn't responded to this? What is the deal? I guess we will have to ask her when we see her. Are the city leaders listening to the city NA's and NAPC? Is or has our city gotten better because of all of them?

We will wait for Mark to answer this although I can say he now lives in the Bryant Park neighborhood but his registered agent address is in the Genesis NA where his friend, Jeff still lives and where he still has family?

According to this website and documents, it shows as of April 2013 it is active with Mark P's e signature, so is it still today? You said Mark doesn't know now? Is all of this ethical? Mark moved to North B Street a few years ago, but this shows docs.with his address at his ex's house at 701 South A Street for the past 3 years, yet he has lived on North B Street for a few years now. It all seems so fishy with what is going on. Thanks for trying to shed some light to an odd situation. Hope you get to the bottom up it Lynn. Does the State Know of these oddities?

Oh, OK, had no idea, the last time we had heard he lived and was renting in Mary Lindsey's old house on North B street. So now he lives in Bryant Park, moving up in this world it seems
So, if he actually lives and sleeps in the Bryant Park neighborhood ASS how can he submit papers sign, and serve as a president of another NA but not live in that NA although the bylaws say you must?
We will wait for Mark to answer this although I can say he now lives in the Bryant Park neighborhood but his registered agent address is in the Genesis NA where his friend, Jeff still lives and where he still has family?

Well, maybe how Genesis gets away with all is that on their website they say:
"The only requirement is that you own a home or business or you rent within the boundaries of the map above. We do ask that you support our organization through regular participation in meetings and activities."
Yet the map they have above shows a map of all of the City of Lake Worth, not just the Genesis boundaries, so this NA is really a NA for the entire city it looks like, sounds like some duplication? It is all starting to smell very fishy here? Lynn I hope you can stay on this and expose what is really going on here, sounds like Mark needs to step up and explain a few things here, we all know he does a lot of good stuff for the city, but all of this seems strange.
Sounds like you opened up a can of worms Lynn? If Mark P. lives in Bryant Park how can he be the President of Genesis according to their bylaws which is supposedly defunct according to President of NAPC Mary Lindsey.
Was this your reason for starting this thread to begin with, to confuse us? Or expose corruption? What is going on here?

Genesis is a registered neighborhood association. I do not know anything about the legalities and requirements of the NAPC...that is for more knowledgeable people than I. The thread was started because Genesis is supporting a program for Seniors and to give that effort some exposure, a worthy cause I would think.
So, you say that Mary believes it is defunct and Mark says it is an active NA which is supported by SunBiz. It is working on issues and programs to benefit people who live there. You make the decision.
I think we should wait for Mary to respond as well as Mark.
Sounds like a good cause to help poor seniors. So Mark and Mary where are you today? What is the truth or is going on here? Sounds like this thread might expose corruption or sensationalize all a bit. Is Genesis still active? Is mark P still the president? Do they have active members attending their meetings? What is going on here in Lake Worth? The State of FL know about all of this?

I thought Mary and Mark were your good friends Lynn? Seems like this thread is just stirring up a pot and making Mark and Mary look bad. What is the truth about all of this? When does Genesis hold their monthly meetings so we can find out? Why aren't Mark and/or Mary speaking out about what the facts are now. Are there really two new neighborhood associations taking over the area of Genesis? Does Genesis NA cover the entire city? Is Mark like our second mayor now? Will we ever get the truth or real answers? Is there some corruption going on? Have bylaws been broken? Do we have more scandal here in Lake Worth now with NA? What does the NAPC really do? Are they really needed too? This thread just promotes so many questions about so much here. Mark usually speaks out on this blog, what is the truth? What are the facts?
Some Lake Worthians really need a hobby. I am on assignment today doing a photo shoot so I can't right now but when I get home I will scan Genesis Neighborhood ByLaws onto the Genesis website www.genesisneighborhoodassociation.org and you will be able to see for yourselves what I have addressed numerous times when these feeble attacks on me rear their humorous heads. ByLaws that have been filed and accepted by the Florida State of Corporations and clearly state that the Chair of the Board of Directors/President can live at large nothing corrupt about that. So even if I decided to move to Bali I could still, if I chose to, retain my seat as Chair and President of Genesis. Yes it does have a membership, less than a dozen, but yes we still have a membership. We only met once last year and that was to facilitate a Community Outreach Meeting to present La Joya Villages to the residents of Genesis and give them an opportunity to ask questions about the upcoming development on 6th Avenue South and F Street. CRA assisted with printing and mailing of the custom printed post cards that went out to ALL Genesis residents. Genesis bylaws and website link used to be on the NAPC website but right after Mary Lindsey became President, Genesis was removed off the site. Yes I used to rent her first home and I won't get into details why I don't anymore because they are irrelevant to this issue. I will say I would never make the mistake of renting from her again! Yes moving up is right, Bryant Park has truly been a step up. No neighbors playing their loud ghetto music until 2am, no blatant drug dealing going on right out front and I now have a a responsible respectful landlord who immediately addresses any calls for repairs and doesn't attempt yelling at me like she is drill sergeant.
I am still the Chair/President of Genesis, it is active and will stay active as long as my health will allow. We file our annual report on time every year and I pay the almost 70.00 out of my pocket, the source of almost ALL of the funds that Genesis has spent. Memorial Park Neighborhood Association, which is on the NAPC website, appears no where on Sunbiz.org and has never had a community meeting and Lake View Heights is incorporated and their President lives in West Palm Beach and has had her home she hasn't lived in for over three years at 713 South Pine sited by code numerous time for a myriad of violations and hasn't had any meetings either.
You anonymous posters keep it entertaining to say the least and at least serve the purpose of some comedic relief. I admire Weetha peebull for she has the ovarian fortitude to take ownership of her comments.

I live in Genesis and the truth is it is not a functioning NA. There are no members or officers besides the self appointed president. There has not been a meeting in years. Lynn, all in all your post was silly. Genesis may be a live corp. but it serves no purpose and is not "well."
"ALL" in my post was "silly?" What is silly about a registered NA with the State of Florida and a president instigating a program that will help a resident?
