Number one don't people look before they cross the train tracks
Number two weren't the bars down
Number three you can't see a train coming
Number four there's a train need to speak Spanish
Good way for suicide
This last train accident was a suicide of a Pratt Whitney engineer. He had been struggling with mental illness for 6 months, and all signs point to the actual cause having been medical problems ignored by his endocrinologist. I am talking massive malpractice for this POS pretenda doctor endocrinologist, that just kept running the same simple and incorrect test over and over again--as per insurance company directives, instead of actually looking for what was happening to cause the problems. This engineer was a cycling friend of mine...He would have been the first to agree that you don't just accidentally get hit by a train. You would know it was coming.
This is so God awful. I would think that a medical professional in this field would have to have years of experience and study. Doctors don't diagnose today...afraid of being sued. So, it could have been a hormone imbalance that caused this man to take his live?
The Psychiatrist who had been treating him--and seeing normal drugs for mental illness having essentially no effect, had been repeatedly asking the endocrinologist to do more investigation into thyroid related issues...But, he kept doing the same nonsense basic thyroid test...that showed nothing.
Last week the Psychiatrist demanded ten vials of blood to be drawn for many other tests....If the results ( soon) show high levels of calcium it will indicate it was a hyper-parathyroid issue--and I would see this as gross negligence by the endocrinologist for not testing for this before. I would want him sued out of business. The symptoms shown did suggest parathyroid could have been the cause--even the suicidal impulses. Two months ago I had to go WITH my friend to his General practitioner --because I wanted an MRI scan to rule out a brain tumor--which also could cause the issues we were seeing--Psychiatrists are not allowed to write a prescription for MRIs--this one tried and was denied. The GP did NOT want to have my friend get an MRI at this time--he wanted to do the normal BS line of other tests first--and this could have taken months. I stood up in the exam room and told him I did not care what his opinion was..either he would write the script NOW, or we would go to an Urgent Care Doc and pay to have a script written. So..the GP does not like mje very much--and to me he is a dirt bag. He and his ilk.
What can be done about this doctor?
As far as thyroid goes, I have been on medicine for it for 45 years. The thyroid can affect everything in your body.
Glad you told him off. Does he know what happened to his patient?
He will know soon if we see high calcium in the blood...I will make his termination as a doctor one of my most important THINGS TO DO each day.
Dan, you are not a relative, or person of interest. I doubt you have any standing if this is going to court. Medicine is an Art, not a Science.
You know the saying: Doctors bury their mistakes.
Anon@7:32....
I will answer this only because I think you are confusing my last post with angry blather of someone with no ability to achieve what they wish to...
If it would go to court I would be doing the medical research that the legal team would use...there is no law firm in the area that has my research skills...this is such an understatement I don't even care if it sounds egotistical.
You don't know me..but my research is a large part of what has driven my company...Molecular Impact Energy..into being very close to a working prototype of an engine that runs on saltwater...bubbles can be imploded to release plasma ( 4th state of matter) and temperatures as high as 40,000 degrees kelvin RESULT ...AND..proton to proton collisions can occur.-- READ THAT AS FUSION.....(as proven by First Light Fusion in the UK.)..
Saltwater we inject into the plasma chamber becomes explosive steam...which is channeled out and spins a turbine.
Just one of a great many research projects I have run. WE are patenting our system now.
Medical research is easier for me and I do have background in it.
The "Medical/Pharmaceutical industry has become disgusting in our country. It needs to be hammered into submission and forced back into health first and profits second.
As much as this is a "windmill I would love to charge at"...Im reasonably sure from the results of the last blood test (results just now back)that this case would be weak. But it is still too soon to be sure.
Well, I guess you have to wait and see what happens. My question is: on whose behalf would you be bringing the lawsuit. Brightline, the doctor? When something happens there is always a question of who could have done more or better.
I'm nor questioning your credentials. I don't even know who you are.
I think Brightline goes too fast for a train that is so close to a pedestrian area. There is no reason for it to go that fast, it is not that important.
I think it is very important for our "masses" to realize government or lawyers should not be there to protect us from drowning in a pond, lake or ocean(calls for fences or draining the body if water for prevention of deaths)...to protect unaware people from accidentally stepping off the Grand Canyon and falling to their death...or of blaming trains for the deaths of people that CHOSE to step in front of them.
You're right Lynn. Doctors don't do much of anything today. You can do better looking on the internet.
You can hardly compare Brightline to the Grand Canyon. Get serious!
Brightline exists for one reason. To take people from Miami to Orlando. Everything else is incidental. The average person can't afford to take Brightline, and to get to it and on it takes longer than taking Tri Rail.
Tri Rail takes you to the Airport. All of the American employees take it.
I drive across the tracks twice a day. Motorists are always trying to get you to cross when the Red Lights are flashing, when the arms are coming down, and then when you are on the other side of the tracks, they are right behind you. You couldn't even save their life if a train was coming.
If the crossings were properly gated, drivers couldn't do that. They tried to do the whole thing on the cheap, and this is the result.
It's outrageous, the number of people that have been killed by this train.
So, your friend commit suicide by the train, and you want to blame the doctor.
Whatever was going on with this man that was undiagnosed, brought him to end his life. A thyroid problem would have shown up in a blood test. What happened is a terrible thing.
On 6th Avenue, and I see it all of the time, there is a right on red light AFTER stopping. Most cars never stop first. I have seen people walk under the guardrails and cross.
People don't usually commit suicide when they feel good, and things are going well. It's a tragedy for the survivors. For the victim, it was a solution.
R.I.P.
