This bill parity thing is a lot of crap! I have FPL now and it is so much cheaper and better then LW. Do you know when you own a house and have utilities on in the city of Lake Worth, even if you do not use any of them, you still have to pay a bill of almost $70 a month, you can have the electric, water, sewer all turned off and not use a single amount and they still charge you almost $70 just having it connected! Highway robbery! LW utilities stinks! A huge ripoff!

3:48: fake news! If you consider $35 as almost $70 then yes you are correct snowflake. So sorry you don't live here anymore you found like a lot of fun. Lol!

There is a set fee but it is not $70...it's in the $30's as I recall. It still costs the city money to service an account even if the electric is turned off.

5:28 is andy a. it seems. wow, he really can't hold it in. The truth hurts. Well truth is power and most when they know it will move the hell out of Lake Worth with corrupt politicians like andy a. It is $70 dollars just to stay connected without using your utilities, THAT IS A LOT OF SNOWFLAKES andy!

Sorry Lynn you are wrong, I have proof and had a place there that was unoccupied with the services turned on, but not used, they charge almost $70, and this was in 2014-2015, I bet it is actually higher now. It really is true, but this is not just electricity, it is water and sewer too. It is too expensive and LW has gone to hell with these fees and you get nothing in the city, but crime, thefts against you, and leaders who make hefty pay off the taxpayers. That is why LW is rent capital USA, even some of the elected just rent. There are a lot of dumps to rent in Lake Worth.

Lynn, I know the current Electric Utility will get all the credit but the employees who actually started the process in motion are not here anymore and probably deserve more of the credit than this current staff. After this group is patted on the back no doubt they will be gone as well either through better opportunities or they just don't fit into the City Manger's Plan anymore. (don't agree with his under the table plans)
