California: The Fu*ked up State

California to register illegal aliens to vote – automatically

We've written about this before but it should be brought up over and over again! The April Fools joke is on all the citizens of this country and the jokester is governor Jerry Brown, Democrat. What planet did he drop in from?

Beginning April 1, every person who gets a California driver’s license will be automatically entitled to vote. At the moment, it is estimated that there are 2.6 million undocumented immigrants in California and now that this crazy governor has made it a Sanctuary state, can you even imagine how many more will be migrating there?

Read about it...

And I corrected you last time but you deleted the comment.

It's fake news.

When these aliens apply for a driver's license, Calif does NOT ask them if they are legal or illegal. They issue the license when they pass the Calif requirements of a driver's test, etc. Part of this is to automatically register them to vote unless they decline.

So, you were WRONG before and you are still WRONG regardless of Snopes or any other left-wing slanted site.

When is Brown going to be dragged to Gitmo in handcuffs????

Because you won't read the Snopes article, here's the Huffington Post:

"The way automatic registration works is relatively simple: Eligible citizens are registered to vote when they show up at a Department of Motor Vehicles office to obtain a driver’s license or state ID. The DMV gives the eligible voter a chance to opt out if they prefer not to register. If the person does not opt out, the DMV electronically transfers their voter registration information to the Secretary of State’s office, rather than making election officials enter data by hand from paper registration forms."

"ELIGIBLE citizens are registered to vote...."

As soon as I find a Fox News article, I'll post it, too, since that's the only news you'll believe.

As said above, they will be automatically entitled to vote unless they decline.
What is there about that you don't get? Do you always just like to argue?

They mentioned this on the news this morning on CBS too. This is absurd. It better now happen and hurt the rest of us. If California wants this then, they should just become their own country, a real banana republic it seems. This should not be allowed to have undocumented immigrants, non-citizens to vote for Federal elections, or any for that matter. I agree with you Lynn, this is so messed up.

Cali , a banana republic? Oh my, lol! Wow! 6th largest economy in the world, leader in technology, most military bases in the USA, I could go on but why bother. Jeez o Pete. Oh oh, I must be a libtard, nope!

@2:54...it IS a fu*ked up state in spite of its nearly 40 million residents. I sure feel sorry for any logical people who live there.

Politically, yes screwed up state but how quickly we forget about Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger? But you wouldn't know anything about that since you've recently switched parties. California is a gorgeous state just ask Mr McNamara, I believe it's a gem and can't wait to go back.

The comment that I give you the Fox News link you delete?

Seriously, Lynn, you are the most dishonest and malicious spreader of fake news in South Florida. What is wrong with you that you have a need to give false information to your readers and call it real? Is that the only way you feel you can advance the conservative agenda is by intentionally misrepresenting information and lying to any reader that stops by?

You've been provided 3 or 4 sources that explain why your post is in error and you intentionally ignore them and even delete a comment that patiently provide you the info and the links to further research it. And it's Fox News to boot.

How does anyone stop you from doing this? Patiently working with you and providing you links and info doesn't work. Tell us what it will take, please.

Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger all in the same breath? Arnie had some good ideas when he was governor but never could get anything done.
I lived in Silicon Valley...don't need to ask Laurence about it.
I did not recently switch parties philosophically. It took me a long time to make the registration switch, however, but Obama took it over the top for me. You know the day when you've had enough. That applies to about any important decision one makes.
California, just like Lake Worth, is not the same as it once was, unfortunately.

@4:31--What it will take? You writing your own blog. I disagree with you. You are not admitting the one simple thing here--California does NOT ask nor will it ask someone if they are a legal or an illegal resident. An illegal can simply state they are legal--no matter what link you want to provide.

So, write your own blog and I promise not to come on it and accuse you of being dishonest, etc. or act like I'm the sharpest tool in the drawer. I promise. :)

"An illegal can simply state they are legal"

You're wrong.

"Potential voters “have to demonstrate proof of age, the vast majority of time people are showing a birth certificate or a passport, which also reflects citizenship. That’s arguably more secure than someone checking a box under penalty of perjury.”

If you accuse me of being dishonest and show me a few reputable sources that clearly show that I am, I'm not afraid of admitting that I got it wrong.

I don't need to lie to blog about politics or to even comment.

You called me dishonest first. I just gave it right back at ya. Don't like it?
In California, you have to provide your California driver's license or identification card number or the last 4 digits of your social security number. If you do not have any of these numbers you simply leave the field blank and the election officials will assign you a voter identification number. You're supposed to be a citizen and a resident of Calif but we know how that goes.

Yeah, well, you're the one deleting comments so let's see...who can't take it?

The Snopes article says it's false. The Huff Post article explained it. The Fox News article explained it. Wikipedia even tells us that it isn't new or unique:

"From January 1, 2016, Oregon implemented the Motor Voter Act, a fully automatic (opt-out) voter registration system tied into the process of issuing driver licenses and ID cards.[15] By April 2016 three more states – California, West Virginia, and Vermont – had followed suit, and in May 2016 Connecticut implemented it administratively rather than by legislation, bringing the number of states with automatic voter registration to five.[16][17] Alaskan voters approved Measure 1 during the November 8, 2016, general election, allowing residents the ability to register to vote when applying annually for the state's Permanent Dividend Fund.[18][19] Voter approval of Measure 1 made Alaska the first state to implement automatic (opt-in) voter registration via ballot initiative and the sixth state to implement automatic registration by any means including passing legislation. Several more states have considered legislation for automatic registration.[20] On August 28, 2017, Governor Bruce Rauner signed Illinois SB1933, which sets implementation of automatic voter registration at motor vehicle agencies for July 1, 2018, and a year later at other state agencies.[21]"

I could tell you the sun rises in the east and sets in the west and if one of your email friends or The Powdered Wig told you the opposite, I know which one you would believe.

It is what it is no matter what you believe, Lynn.

The key word here is "residents."
Stop taking so much time to make a point that you are missing. Don't you have anything better to do? Like march in Washington D.C. or something equally as "important"?

That's just one of them--there are more.
