Senate confirms Jerome Powell as Federal Reserve chairman
On January 23, the Senate confirmed Jerome Powell as the next chairman of the Federal Reserve by a vote of 84-13. It was one of the widest margins of confirmation for a nominee of President Donald Trump’s. He will replace Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen on February 3, 2018.
