Seismic blasts can kill fish eggs and larvae and scare fish away from important habitats. The blasts can also cause temporary and permanent hearing loss in marine mammals which can result in strandings or even death.

Tonight in the 5:00pm segment, Lake Worth resident, Drew Martin of the Sierra Club will be on WPEC Channel 12 to talk about it and how seismic blasting is 100 times louder than a jet engine and it will kill between 100,000 to 150,000 sea animals.
