Lake Worth city commission meeting tonight

Comment Up

Palm Peach Post article on tonight's meeting.

Don't forget to come to City Hall tonight--6pm--to listen to the discussion on what the ITN offerors have proposed for our casino complex and what the Select Committee has recommended.  We should also find out which way the commission is leaning.

DEMENTED A-H AT 11:44

I hope the person at 11:44 doesn't speak. Since he/she is into money so much and likes change, I would hope that he/she would move on. WPB probably would be more to his liking. Perhaps Fort Lauderdale?

Our beach property is anything but "trash". We've already spent tons of money on it and it is very popular and successful. Is it making a profit the first couple of years, no. Is that unusual, no.

Why, with our poor history of contracting, would we ever consider turning over the beach to a private developer. Why would we embrace more development at the beach when its already busy and crowded.

Lynn, i was just wondering what your take on Commsioner Maiers's rental property?? Ive heard the bully bloggers opinion, do you feel he should play by the same rules as the unelected folks in town?

Don't know anything about it, anonymous@ 12:22.

The city needs to enforce all laws at the beach and leave it alone as a park and nature preserve.

This city elected should be addressing the real problems in this city:
1. Crime
2. Blight and Better Codes
3. The raccoon infestation in this city taking over our properties, houses, pools, pets food, etc. The city needs to address the raccoons NOW! Raccoons are out of control in Lake Worth!

What is Commsioner Maiers's rental property address? I want to see it. The city needs to have the Code Dept. clean this blight up and hold all people to the same standard. We have too many rentals in this city, that is the biggest problem. What is his address I want to see this and judge for myself.

It is trashed, look at all the cig butts all over our beach, smokers do not care. They need to prohibit smoking at the beach all together. The police and city could make tons of money if they enforced the alcohol laws at the beach too, so many openly drink on the beach all day everyday, no one enforces a damn thing, our beach is not taken care of well at all, and we have so many who do not care, the smokers and the drinkers. They don't care, so the city needs to get them the hell out of our beach.

How do you just assume it is blighted? Maybe it's old wiring or something. Maybe it's just Blackman running is mouth and ripping someone anew.

Yes, I wish the City would focus on crime and code enforcement and stop trying to give the beach away to developers.

No opinion on the raccoons.

Talk about blight. Has anybody been in Andy Amoroso's shop ??? What a pigsty. You can't even move in it.
