Parents should have a say in what their children learn in public schools! All these leftist Communists who want to think educators know best and not let parents have a say or input or be informed is wrong and it shows the direction that they're trying to bring these School boards and our government into it's all wrong parents have a voice to say, we vote and we should be able to have a say in the matter vote Republican vote people who are maga and vote people who want to keep a free republic in this country!
I'll vote them out, but who do we replace them with.
Parents should have a say, but only if there is something going on that draws suspicion. To do that, parents have to be involved in what the child is learning.
If the parent goes over the child's homework, that should give them an idea if things are moving in the right direction. It's the other things that parents should have a say in.
If the parent takes his or her face out of the I Phone for 5 minutes, that would help immeasurably. There are responsible parents, but far too few. Private school is only one answer. That teacher might not be as effective as the public school teacher.
I don't think it should be too much to ask, what kind of an education your child's teacher has. How old is the teacher? Where did they teach before, or is this his/her first teaching job.
Spend a day or half a day in class with your child.
I will be voting every one of these school board communists OUT ! Who will I be replacing them with? People truly concerned with the STUDENTS and who know that they represent the PARENT'S wants for their children.NO ONE representing the radical left teacher's unions will get my vote.
As to 10:45s comment: How do you get that information?
A similar issue obtains when it comes to Judges. I stopped voting for judges when I realized I couldn't get any useful information on some of them.
My thinking was that the people who work in the courts for and with these judges, are the only ones who know them well enough to form a decision about them.
I wouldn't want to be a judge, a DA, or a criminal defense attorney these days. The one who was shot the other day, is not the first, and won't be the last.
