The City of Lake Worth gave public notice of our upcoming election. It appeared in the Lake Worth Herald last Thursday.
Hopefully, by now, you know the issues and who will make the best commissioner. I actually ran into someone on Friday who had no clue. This is very dangerous. So the more you can get out there and talk to folks, the better off we all will be. Ultimately it is up to the candidates and their team to meet the voters.
I don't think neighborhood association forums are good enough. Mailers are usually thrown in the trash. There is nothing like that one-on-one conversation with voters. People are impressed when you take the time to knock on their door.
So, when you lose, the question candidates should ask themselves is--did you do enough to win?
And P.S.--Vote NO on both amendments. And vote for the candidates who want to preserve our history and the name of our city...
