Lake Worth Advocate Group

Lake Worth will no longer be the easy place to carry out illegal activity, so says the newly formed Lake Worth Advocate Group.

Chip Guthrie, a member of Lake Worth's CRA, gave a presentation to the commission at Tuesday night's meeting on this newly formed group that began with the purpose of helping PBSO when those arrested come before the judge at the County Jail at 3228 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach, FL. The Judge determines whether there is probable cause, etc. The judge will be notified of your presence in advance.

The Group's belief, and concurred by Cpt. Baer of PBSO District 14, is that it helps immensely when the judge sees citizens concerned about their community who show up for the proceedings.

The Advocate Group will let the Assistant State Attorney know if anyone has a desire to speak and will indicate that to the Court Deputy or the Victim Witness Advocate in the magistrate room. The Court Deputy will then inform the attorney that you are present and wish to make a statement. It is important that you inform the Court if the accused has threatened to harm you or your family in any way.

If you are interested in being a part of this advocacy group, please go to the NAPC website lwnapc.com and sign up or to be notified via email at lakeworthadvocate@gmail.com
