I love this art..for its beauty and untouched Florida landscape and for it's early history of the artists who made it famous.
My favorite artist is R. L.Lewis...I like his palm trees!
Art Link International is having an exhibit of Florida Highwaymen paintings beginning today, July 28, at the Palm Beach Art, Antique & Design Center at 500 N. Dixie Highway. Hours are 4-10 p.m., July 28; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. July 29; noon-5 p.m. July 30 and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays Aug. 1-13.

You have some beautiful paintings,Lynn! I love the Highwaymen paintings too! My favorite is Harold Newton . I have a beautiful James Gibson that I bought years ago,just because I liked it. I didn't even know about the Highwaymen and it was before their paintings really went crazy.I couldn't afford to buy it today. Buy art because you love it.
Excellent advice. I can always remember my Mom who visited me when I lived in the Bay area of California. We went into an art gallery in San Francisco and she fell in love with a painting. She regretted all of her life that she didn't buy it.
