Greed, one of the Deadly Sins

Comment Up

Stop coveting. Stop stealing. Read the Ten Commandments and understand the seven deadly sins. Go to church, temple, whatever. If you're not satisfied with your present circumstances, stop blaming everyone. Get off the couch. Look for a job. Take honest responsibility for your own life.

Greed gets you into all sorts of trouble.  There was a guy who walked into a kitchen of a restaurant and demanded a plate of food all the while wielding a butcher knife.  The owner complied. After all, it is the Christmas holidays and the spirit of giving and all that jazz or so he probably thought in spite of that big knife in his face.  The hungry guy wanted his plate packed higher with vittles..not enough food he said.  The owner complied again.  Then the criminal grabbed for a change jar with $104--that's when the owner took action.

This is right Lynn. The big problem in our societies now is no one takes personal responsibility for their actions. Blame and me me me. So many feel privileged today, they have the right. Rules and laws are for the other person, so if I don't stop at a stop sign, the other one will to avoid hitting me. It is crazy. That is why we do not have peace in this world. Simple things like breaking down your weights on the workout machine after you use it for the next person who comes to use it and may not want 150 lbs of weight. Most people do not care, feel privileged, are selfish, or simply irresponsible, these are what cause all the problems in this world. We love to blame others. I am afraid it all just seems to get worse too. So sad. The biggest thing we all need to do this new year is prayer for peace and pray for all to pray more to be good people and take personal responsibility for their actions in life, then maybe we can have a better world.
