Guess what?
It took the City awhile to figure out that they needed at least one regular meeting during this month. This day is atypical as meetings are always on the first and third Tuesdays.
On the Consent Agenda is an Interlocal Agreement with the CRA for the acquisition and development of downtown property for parking in the amount of $627,482.50 for the purchase of one parcel. The CRA will become the owner of the parcel. This is coming out of the penny sales tax money.
The city has hired a company, Carl Walker, Inc., to do a study which will include information on parking rates and fines and other analyses.
Now, don't you think something this important would be under New Business. Why doesn't the city want taxpayers to weight in on a purchase like this? Commissioner Maxwell mocks "transparency."

AND, as a reminder, all the liberals and pot heads will be there tonight as this is the second reading on banning medical marijuana dispensing facilities in the city. Two facilities is more than enough, don't you think?
