The Boston Bomber and our Intelligence Network and the Bad Dream

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the terrorist who, along with his brother who was killed during that fateful event at the Boston Marathon, laid two pressure cooker bombs at strategic places that day in April 2013. Jury selection starts today for this killer.

In March 2011, the FBI was notified by Russian intelligence that his brother, Tamarian was a terrorist and a follower of radical Islam.  It took three months for the FBI to close the "investigation" after finding nothing to support Russian intelligences' information. It took the deaths of 5 people and injuries (some severely) to 280 people, sixteen of whom were police officers some two years later, for the FBI to admit that the Tsarnaev brothers were indeed terrorists, radical Islamists, and wanted to kill us.

It has been suggested that Dzhokhar will give some sort of mental health explanation for his actions or blame it on his dead brother in order to escape the maximum penalty. I would like to hear more about the FBI and why they did not follow through with the Russian intel nearly 3 years ago. Was Russia just not that specific? Could this all have been prevented?

It makes one wonder about our intelligence community. Intel and the Secretary of State said that there were weapons of mass destruction so we bombed Iraq and over-threw Saddam Hussein, taking him at his word. No weapons were found.  Our CIA has deceived presidents. An idiot climbs over the fence at the Whitehouse and enters the president's home.  People walk across our open border every day. What is going on?  Is this all a bad dream?
