Elections are stressful and in Lake Worth not the least bit fun anymore. When I first got involved in Lake Worth politics in 2005, it was sort of exciting. People were not so nasty and repulsive with a few exceptions. Now elections involve dealing with liars, bullies and worse...people who love the game of destroying their opponent, stomping on them verbally with the most outlandish of commentary and personal attacks. Nothing has to be true. They are protected.
Someone sent me the following comment from the bully blog and it is just another smear attempt to denigrate and destroy by some sick lying individual. It seems that the "other' side of disgusting politics here is very afraid of the new news publication, the Lake Worth Tribune. The bully blogger spends countless amounts of energy to destroy the writer/publisher. Competition is the American way and is what has made this country great--but not in Lake Worth. If you have any opinion worth its salt, the other side will condemn you to eternity and call you every vile thing in their book of repugnancy.
Dennis Dorsey is funding Menge's newspaper. This is meant to influence another Lake Worth election. And check out Menge's Lake Worth 'crime blotter'. 4 of the crimes are not in LW-including a shooting.I want to assure all of you that Mr. Dorsey is not involved in any way, shape or form with Ms. Menge's newspaper nor is he trying to influence "another Lake Worth election." Why the bully blogger would allow this sort of comment only he can say. When asked, Dennis Dorsey said, "This is a joke and a figment of Blackman's imagination. People like this stir the pot inventing falsehoods. They sit on city boards and have no idea what's true and what's fantasy. It's sad and it's no wonder that Lake Worth is in so much trouble."
So much for integrity and journalistic standards.
