Florida Healthcare

Comment Up

Politicians have allowed it to happen...we are becoming a totally socialist country and all people come here with their hands out. But on to a different story--this time it is the lack of health and dental insurance for kids from impoverished families.

Read about it... and how Florida's Healthcare violates Federal law according to a judge. Florida's not looking out for the poorest of the poor.  These poor little kids don't have dental insurance!!!  For crying out loud--neither do tens of thousands of kids from middle class families.  I hate to think about what our country will look like in 2017. They are forcing Medicaid to be upped by at least $200 million in order to qualify for federal matching money.

What is wrong with the way Canada, Mexico, etc many others run their healthcare? Why can't we do what they do?

It is because of our politicians taking monies from big business, like Pharma, insurance co. that give them a lot of money and campaign funds to vote for them making more money, not for what is right for the public and these kids and us citizens.

Blame politicians for everything, because they truly are the problem why kids are not being taken care of well and our healthcare is a mess, it is all greed from big business and the kickbacks politicians are getting back from them.

You want to blame anyone Lynn, blame the politicians, the corruptions that is happening now in the country and government and these politicians allow big business to control all it the reason.

Read the book The Truth About the Drug Companies by Marcia Angell, MD. you will really see who is to blame. Blame politicians!

Well, I for one, do not want socialized medicine. Canadians, when they need a medical procedure without waiting for 6 months to a year, come here.

Let's see some proof of this waiting 6 months.

Perhaps this might help with your "proof."

We are one of the richest nations in the world and we can't afford to give poor kids dental care for free. We can afford to spend billions on bombs and give big business giant tax breaks as the middle class gets poorer and poorer. What's wrong with this. I don't know one Canadian that would give up their healthcare. Lynn you are the prime recipient of socialized medicine in the USA. You get Medicare which is a social program. Ask anyone under 65 if they would signup for Medicare if it was offered and almost all would take it.So if socialized medicine is good for those 65 and older why can't it be good for poor kids. Keeping a young person healthy is just as important as keeping an old person healthy. I have to disagree with you on this one.

Cut the $10 billion in Pork spending and I might agree with you, somewhat. $17 million for the International Fund of Ireland?
Social Security is an annuity of sorts. You pay into it your entire working career (in my case 40 years) and you reap a return.
It is a proven fact that socialized medicine does not work. Socialism, period, does not work nor will communism. We can't afford to pay for everyone in this country and every country with its hand out. It's all political. Education is the key. Get these people off the welfare roles and then they might be able to support their families without us recruiting nurses, doctors and engineers from foreign countries.

And one more thing, there are plenty of countries with more wealth than we have but they are not supporting the world. Also, we have an unsustainable debt of $18 TRILLION dollars that will never be paid off. That makes us a debtor nation--not exactly wealthy in my eyes.
