Omari got to talk for 2 and one half hours. He must have been in heaven
They both believe there is systemic racism...I don't! I don't believe we have any of that in Lake Worth and very little in the country as a whole. This is what liberals do--infuriating.
Cara Jennings was there and I agree with her...we spend way too much money for PBSO and have no control. If we had our own police department, we would have control over that and more but the commission voted it all away years ago. It was a wrong decision then as we pay for many of these services in our county taxes anyway. Also, not one conservative engaged in this Town Hall...only people making mountains out of molehills...scared of cops in general. What a way to live your live. Police are here to serve and protect. We have NO problem with PBSO. The only problem that I would see is that we don't see enough of PBSO in our city. Also, they should have continued having deputies at our NA meetings. Community policing is the way to go.
Over a million a month for PBSO in our 6 sq mile townlet. And in my neighborhood-for what? My neighborhood is OK crime wise (not like the alphabet streets but some crime). Some say "Your neighborhood doesn't need the cops". Well then why in hell do I have to pay up the ass for services I don't get? Make the high crime areas pay more. They get all the services and their crime never seems to end.
Unfortunately, the world is full of sadistic people. I've worked in offices with sadistic bosses. They didn't physically abuse you, but were certainly adept at other kinds of torture. Sadists are drawn to particular environments more than others. Nursing Homes, child welfare, animal care, hospital workers, police work. Are they just bad seeds? Are they created by themselves being tortured at some point in their lives? A Psychiatrist, behaviorist, would have some answers, but to rid the world of them; that's a tall order.
