"I can't breathe" they chanted at Bryant Park

Protesters march in Lake Worth, Jupiter Farms

About 40 protesters shouted "No justice, no peace" and "I can’t breathe" Saturday at a rally and march in downtown Lake Worth Beach.

"In Lake Worth Beach, people gathered in sunshine and heat at the Bryant Park bandshell downtown.

It’s hot out here isn’t it?” one organizer said. “Hard to breathe. This is what it feels like! I can’t breathe!”

The phrase “I can’t breathe” has become a watchword in the month since George Floyd died while being arrested by Minneapolis police. Video seen worldwide showed an officer pressing on Floyd’s neck as he lay handcuffed, pleading for breath, for eight minutes and 46 seconds.

The officer and three others on the scene were fired and criminally charged.

“There may come a time when you need someone to stand up for you. Are you ready now to stand up to injustice?” Pastor Bradley Ramsey of the Lake Worth Church of God told the gathering." [Palm Beach Post]

Give it a rest! The country has had enough! I need the police to stand up for me.

A person on a motorcycle had a sign that read, "BLM is racist." That sign spoke the truth.
