Do you know how your all-Democrat PB Board of County Commissioners spent YOUR money recently?
💥 Your Commission has received $261M of CARES funding.
💥 They are using $35M for “general expenses.”
💥 They are using $10M for “covid sheltering” that isn’t needed.
💥 They are ONLY providing $60M of the $261M for small business grants yet the intended purpose of the CARES funding is to preserve jobs for Americans!

Instead of helping the businesses that provide jobs and are the life blood of our community, on May 15, 2020, the Commission voted to use $10M of CARES funding for covid sheltering, that’s 100,000 hotel rooms when they have only used 2 rooms in the past 3 months!
On June 2, 2020, the Commission voted to spend $5.5M to renovate an apartment building to make a “covid shelter” in Pahokee with an office in Belle Glade instead of using hotel rooms. The apartment building has 42 rooms, so that’s a renovation cost of more than 100,000 per room! In short, they agreed to...
...Use your TAX money of $2.2M 💰💰 each year for “upkeep” of the shelter,
...Use your CARES Act funding 💰💰💰💰💰 that is supposed to be used for our economy and preserving jobs, NOT for creating a permanent covid shelter,
...Use YOUR money on a shelter despite having available hotels 🏨 in the Glades and despite that the cost of the rooms is FULLY REIMBURSABLE by FEMA, and,
...To top it off, they DISCRIMINATED between hotel vendors by buying 95 rooms at the Fairfield by Marriott in Delray for $281,150 yet, at the same time, claimed they “couldn’t make a deal” for 20 rooms with a small hotel owner in Belle Glade who asked for a mere $85 per night. They could have bought rooms in Belle Glade and HELPED the economy of the West Area and had the expense reimbursed by FEMA! Instead, they spent your CARES money and your TAX money, as I stated above. 😡
CITIZENS OF PBC! YOUR COMMISSION IS SPENDING MILLION$ OF CARES FUNDING BUT NOT ON WAYS TO SAVE YOUR LOCAL ECONOMY!

There is just so much waste! Most leaders are incompetent! Today all leaders are yes people, kissups, suckups, and ass kissers, most are not even competent to run their own finances, let alone the publics. Waste and incompetency!
No one respect them anymore!
