The President on hate and division in Charlottesville and beyond

That was the best speech President Trump has ever made, and I'm sure it will be reflected in the polls.

Having said that: I can't understand why the Robert E. Lee statue has to come down. Robert E. Lee was a great man, and I don't care if you like it or not. It's not Black Americans who want to erase history, it's organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the ACLU. They have a vested interest in tearing this country apart. After all, isn't this what happened in Russia in 1917.

If they destroy history, can't they remake it in their own image.

After eight years of Obama pushing racist groups like Black lives matter, what do you expect? groups pushing for separate graduations for blacks only for God's sake? Finally we have a President that wants us to all come together and stop the violence. Trump wants inclusion. Obama pushed division. Obama ,half black and half white, could have brought the entire country together. Instead he did the exact opposite and encouraged the country to tear it'self apart.

I have zero sympathy for the protesters hurt and killed today . If you stand in the road your ass might just get run over. And if you throw rocks at cars ,you just might get run over. Or shot.

I don't believe in these protests at all.they have never got anything done except burning towns down and people dieing.then the tax payers have to pay the clean up .stop ALL protests and use your social media.its done anonymous and half the idiots in protests cover their faces.

First, y'all side with Putin. Now you're on the side of Nazis.

If the President were to line liberals up against a wall and shoot them, you all would be cheering.

Just make sure you wear your red hats. We like to know who you are.

By the way, in case you aren't aware: it's okay to be a Republican and be against Nazis.

It's allowed. You aren't violating the rules of conservatism.

We are not cowards as are you. We don't have to wear our red hats.
What you just said is just so damn stupid. You keep losing. You must like that...causing trouble, protesting and instigating violence in your words and actions. Without the Alt-Left in Charlottesville, this repulsive act never would have happened. You love it for now you can blame Trump supporters. This demonstration was about the stupidity of removing monuments from our history as if it never existed. Ya'll get a grip.

It's social media that allows them to arrange these large protests, 8:44. One side is right wing inspired, and the other side is left wing inspired. It would be hard to point to which side is the good side. There are only two possibilities here. Either the country should agree to becoming two or more countries, or they have to impose martial law and clean it all up. It seems to me, that martial law would be a temporary solution. I'm for a negotiated peace.

Isn't the last NAZI just about dead by now. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but these skin heads don't have the self-discipline or the organizational skills to be NAZIS.

BOTH sides are radical and playing into our enemies agenda. The tragedy here is that helicopter going down needlessly killing two officers. I'm not so sure the left side of this mess is so left, aren't we all equal?

We don't need the devisive, police hating, entitled Obama weighing in on this and we don't need nobody Biden giving misinformed comments either. The media is spinning this one way when there are two sides and our police is under attack.

People who carry tools will make America great not people carrying tiki torches!

The two extreme wings showed up and battled it out in the streets of Virginia. The rest of us watch in horror to see just what humans will do to each other. Protests/rallies can be held peacefully. If the cops had arrested the first trouble makers who threw punches or used sticks and anyone throwing missiles, it might have de-escalated.

Ass holes on both sides. Who among you would have wanted to be there? Not I.
