Families Belong Together Protest in Lake Worth
Apparently liberals who say "no one is illegal" demonstrated at the City Hall today. I was informed that most of these people were bused in. They were shouting that "We want our rights back." The following photos were from Scott Burton, Lake Worth Life on Facebook:
According to the city, the group, Families Belong Together, had no permit to have this protest. So, not only do they support illegals crossing into our country but are illegal themselves when it comes to our city laws.
“You have an option to go to a port of entry and not illegally cross into our country,” Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen told a Senate committee last month.

You are now incapable of telling your own children about sex -- at least as you learned it a generation or more ago in high school sex ed. The "facts" have changed. Voter Fraud
Democrats are always telling us that there is no voter fraud and then in the same breath, they are constantly crying that asking for an ID is discrimination or meant to deter voters. What a lot of hog wash. According to the Heritage Foundation, there have been 1,132 cases of voter fraud with 983 criminal convictions. Here is the list of Florida Convictions.

Crying liberals and illegals having protest in Lake Worth
I received this from a group affiliated with MoveOn.org which is a socialist progressive group and wanted to post it...just more BS from liberals using children in their hatred for our president and our laws. Democrats, socialists and communists (all one in the same) do not respect our borders or our American citizens and are giving sanctuary in many cities across the country. They literally refuse to stand up in recognition of the values that make America great.

“Without a doubt the images, and the reality, from 2014, just like 2018, are not pretty. And so we expanded family detention. We had then 34,000 beds for family detention. Only 95 of 34,000 equipped to deal with families. And so we expanded it. I freely admit it was controversial. We believed it was necessary at the time. I still believe it is necessary to remain a certain capability for families.
We can’t have catch and release. And in my 3 years, we deported or repatriated or returned over a million people.
We did not want to go so far as to separate families, but unless we deal with the underlying causes that are motivating people in the first place we are going to continue to bang our heads against the wall on this issue.”

Puerto Ricans at risk of homelessness demand Gov. Rick Scott's help
I always love it when people "demand." People come to our country counting on our generosity for basic welfare.Last year, Florida had 32,190 homeless. Other than California and New York, we are about number three in the country for the most homeless.
In 2016, even the City of Lake Worth passed an ordinance that essentially criminalized the homeless, chasing them out of city owned property after dark. The Trio of Maxwell, Triolo and Amoroso passed the seven-page ordinance with Maxwell saying, "It doesn’t use the word 'homeless' even once.". They even went so far as to play classical music at the Cultural Plaza, driving the homeless nuts..
After hurricane Maria, "tens of thousands of Puerto Ricans quit jobs and raced to Florida, transforming cities across the state. It's the largest migration ever from the Caribbean island, already surpassing the one after World War II.[NBC News]
But you can bet that Democrats will make an issue out of this if Rick Scott doesn't come up with a solution and give these displaced Puerto Ricans affordable housing paid for by FEMA or some other government entity. They are worried about homelessness.

Shanon Materio, standing up for facts--

No comparison between Materio, Lambert campaigns
I strongly disagree with the two implied conclusions in Editorial Page Editor Rick Christie’s recent “Opinion Zone” blog post and column, “Christie: Follow the money in heated West Palm Beach commission race.”
First, I completely disagree that there is a comparison to be made between the alleged illegal activity of political consultant Rick Asnani and his Cornerstone employees, and the frivolous-in-nature complaints against my campaign, in which I mistakenly accepted a $50 contribution, which I discovered and self-disclosed; and a second complaint in which I supposedly sent out a Christmas card without the proper campaign disclosure.

All contributors and the amount of their contributions to the Materio Campaign, as well as any political committees acting in support of Shanon Materio, are fully disclosed, public information, and properly filed.
This is absolutely not true for the entities formed to support the Christina Lambert Campaign.
The three entities in particular are not political committees regulated by the state of Florida and have been discovered to be nothing more than shell companies formed to hide who the contributors are and even worse, how much each contributor gave.
I am disappointed, although not surprised, that Commissioner Lambert has not responded to my request that she join me in demanding Asnani and Cornerstone reveal to the public who these shadow contributors really are.
I am even more disappointed, that The Post hasn’t seized on either the illegal activity aspect, or the lack of transparency and what it means in terms of the First Amendment.
The Post decries even the slightest perception of a governmental body’s lack of responsiveness to a public records request.
But when it comes to hundreds of thousands of dollars raised and spent with the specific purpose of hiding the money, you instead compare it to a $50 campaign violation.

Finance Advisory Board
Seven years ago in 2011, this blog stated--
Meetings of the FAB should be productive not talk fests for board members. The Finance Department is on top of everything. This board is advisory and a total waste of time. It has no power. It has no affect. It can't even get desired information in order to come to an intelligent conclusion. The public can't get any back-up online. It is there to keep members of the Board busy.
Originally its objective was to rubber stamp city hall. Now the energy has shifted to question every little detail coming out of Finance or decisions made by this Commission. And certain people in this community want it to exist as it becomes more political as certain FAB members insist on discussing and hashing over personal agendas. The Fabulous FAB started off with good intentions. Unfortunately that's all the meat it had.
That was 2011. In the early years many members resigned like chair John Pickett, Laurel Decker CPA, Jennifer Marchal CPA, Ron Exline and Bill Thrasher. What has changed in 2018?
One thing the city did was fire the Chair, Richard Guercio...he had too many normal requests of staff although that was not the reason given.
After attending the FAB meeting Of June 4th, there was no back-up and now this board does not appear on the city's web site. (today 3 agendas appear on the web site)

Message from Dan Patrick, Lt. Governor Texas
An excerpt of Dan Patrick's e-mail regarding the facts on illegals--
I appeared on Fox News several times on Friday and yesterday talking about border security and correcting the massive amounts of misinformation that has arisen from the left regarding President Trump's "Zero Tolerance" policy. The opposition to the policy of illegal immigration is nothing more than a political attack by the open borders crowd. No one wants to separate families, not the President, not Senators Cruz or Cornyn, not Republicans in Congress and not me.
Democrats Support a 100% Tolerance Policy
If we don't have a "zero tolerance" policy then how much legal immigration do our opponents believe America should tolerate?
We know Democrats are in favor of open borders — so that's "100% tolerance" of illegal immigration, right? It seems there are moderates in our own party who want us to accept many of the people who are illegally entering the country without question. Are they asking for 50% tolerance? 40%? 65%? What percentage of the people who are entering our country illegally at the border do they believe we should ignore?
How Many Illegals are currently in the U.S.?
Since I have been Lt. Governor, I have directed $1.6 billion to border security for more equipment, planes and additional boots on the ground. In my work and analysis of border issues, many have told me that the number of illegals who are currently in Texas and the U.S. is greatly underestimated.
Most news sources regularly report that there are about 11 million illegal aliens in the U. S. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce first released the 11 million estimate in 2004. From Texas to California, border forces apprehended an average of about 400,000 people over the last five years attempting to enter the country illegally. Most estimate that they only catch one in five — 20 percent of the people who cross the border illegally. Some believe it's one in ten, but taking the lower number — 1 out of 5 — means that about 1.5 million people are illegally crossing into Texas annually that are not apprehended.
Over 13 years, that is almost 20 million people. When that number is added to the 11 million who were identified in 2004 by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the total is somewhere between 25 and 30 million people who are living in the United States illegally.
I talked about this issue in detail on America's Newsroom on Friday morning.
The Facts about Asylum
Asylum requests from Central America have increased 800% over the past year as residents of those countries recognize that an asylum request can be a way to subvert the immigration system. Asylum is granted for political, religious and prejudice prosecution. Even though their lives may be difficult, most do not fit in that category. Asylum courts are now so over-crowded that most applicants simply fail to show up for their court date and then disappear into the U.S. as undocumented aliens. When there are court proceedings, an estimated 80 percent or more requests for asylum are denied because they do not meet the standards under the law.

You had better buy a gun
Retired Army Col.’s Message Will Send Chills Down Your Spine
Here’s Why He Recommends Every Law Abiding American Get A Gun…“When I tell you to buy guns and ammunition, I’m talking about preparing for the day that people like this have power again,” Schlichter tweeted Monday. They hate you and want you dead or enslaved. Just ask them. They will tell you. And if you aren’t ready to fight, then they will get their wish.”
Who is he talking about? LIBERALS, Democrats, Socialists, Communists and all those in a hostile mental state who are violent and mentally or emotionally agitated. It doesn't take much...just the president saying anything. Their latest excuse to act nuts? Children. It used to be the Alt-Left that was whacked out--now it's a large majority of Democrats that are off the deep end.

Obama and others had the same pictures, and did nothing about it.”

It's a shame about John McCain
Of all the Never Trump RINOs in the Senate, McCain is the most vocal champion of open borders and amnesty.
Trump won the GOP nomination – and the Presidency – because voters were fed up with politicians like John McCain who said one thing on the campaign trail and then voted another way in Congress.

Our Immigration System
As so many illegal aliens are receiving at least one government benefit (over 10 million of the estimated 22 million in our country), President Trump is strongly considering the Republican bill that will stop it.
According to the Migration Policy Institute – “In a just-released study of welfare use by U.S. born Americans, naturalized citizens and non-citizen aliens, the Migration Policy Institute found that of the 22 million non-citizens in the country, 10.3 million are on at least one welfare program."
The report said that 54.2 percent of children and teens up to age 17 receive at least one of four major public welfare benefits while its 46.3 percent for those aged 18-54 and 47.8 for older aliens. [RedRightTVVideo]

Email: BKerr@lakeworth.org
Lake Worth, FL - At 10:58 PM on June 20, 2018, an equipment failure at the point of delivery for Lake Worth Electric Utility’s external power supply caused a system wide outage affecting all of our customers. Lake Worth personnel immediately initiated the power restoration process, called in all available personnel, and began the process of making repairs. The City’s Power Plant was brought on line at 11:40 PM to provide power and by 1:05 AM our System Operations team began restoring power to customers throughout the service territory. Power restoration progressed through the night with all customers being restored to service by 6:15 AM.
The cause of the equipment failure has yet to be determined but the incident will be investigated fully to understand the cause of the equipment failure. Lake Worth Electric Utilities would like to thank all customers for their patience and understanding during this event.
During the electric outage the City's internal computer network server suffered a fault which disabled all phone and email access for City employees. Once power was restored staff worked to repair the fault and the system was restored at 12:55 PM on June 21, 2018.

THIS is the effect of the mainstream media driving the lie that the Trump administration is responsible for separating children from their illegal immigrant parents at the border, despite the truth that this policy has been in place for over two decades and enforced by every previous administration since and including the administration of Bill Clinton.
It was Clinton who signed the congressional bill into law in the mid-90s, which somehow never mattered to the leftist talking head parasites in the mainstream media when also enforced by George W. Bush and and Barack Hussein."

Antifa looks to shut down ICE
Everything they are and everything they stand for reminds me of some people I know who live right here in Lake Worth. "No one is illegal," they cry. I have heard this on many occasions even from a former commissioner who spoke just last night at the city commission meeting urging the commission not to allow cooperation with ICE..
The organization describes itself as “anti-racist, anti-fascist, anti-sexist” and is “committed to building and supporting the popular revolt of all oppressed people against the exploitative system of capitalism.”
This is what we are fighting folks--open border communists willing to bring down our democracy.

Live videos of City Commission Meetings
Last night, I left the commission meeting early as I had a brief 8:00 appointment. I turned on my computer to follow the meeting live. Lo and behold and to my complete surprise, no video; no audio.
Apparently this has been down for a month and the city manager never told the commission that the city was not carrying the meeting live or the reasons why. The public was never told.
The city manager announced last night after several complaints from the public, the reason for this-- "Unscrupulous" attorneys have been suing local governments because the live videos are not ADA compliant because they don't have "Closed Caption." There was no mention as to when or how this situation will be fixed.
This is just another example of the lack of respect towards the citizens of this city and in this case, the commission as well.

The latest gimmick to reduce crime in Lake Worth
As previously mentioned, the city has approved the purchase of License Plate Readers in the amount of $332,012 that will be paid from the penny sales tax.. This item is on tonight's Consent Agenda.
Commissioner Omari Hardy said, “I think it will be a huge game changer... they noticed that criminals would steal cars from other cities and then enter Lake Worth to commit crimes. Then they leave Lake Worth with these stolen vehicles. So if we can catch them before they commit a crime and gets caught on the license plate readers, we can stop crime before it happens in the city."
Commissioner, do you really believe that we will instantly know when a stolen car enters our city? Do you really believe that PBSO will have someone monitoring those cameras 24/7/365 and dispatch a deputy immediately to arrest the perp? Is that what you want the public to believe?
Justin Olive of the Common Ground Coffee Bar is right and was honest in his assessment--Crime has escalated in this city. Everyone knows it. The city just won't admit it and with this purchase it is acting and spending to sooth the fears of the public.
As we have so much crime in this city that is never discussed, Click here to see the video.

Lake Worth Audits
William J. Brown. Does anyone know who this man is? He works for the city but has anyone seen or heard from him? Has he ever given a report at a public meeting? Commissioners, he reports to you. You, in turn, report to us, or that's how it's supposed to work. Remember that tier? The taxpayers are on the top of it.
Mr. Brown signed a contract on October 17, 2017 to be our Internal Auditor and his employment began on November 6. He's on a one year contract that is automatically renewable every year as long as he gets a satisfactory written performance evaluation. On or before January 15, 2019, he is up for a salary review which is now at $105,000 a year with all the generous and great perks of working for the city.
William J. Brown III employment contract
Right now the city is discussing and having workshops on the new budget that will begin on October 1, 2018, just 3.5 months from now. The city has not yet produced the external audit for the year ending September 30, 1917. That budget was produced under the former Finance Director, Marie Elianor, who is no longer with the city. The city is yet to find a replacement. We can't keep a finance director. Why? How can the City know where its going if they don't know where they've been? Finance is, without a doubt, one, if not the most important departments in this city. It is the one responsible for your money.
The Commission and the City have studies that prove that the Electric Utility is unsustainable unless they raise rates. This rate parity idea, pushed by Maxwell and the Mayor with FPL was always political as no studies supported that idea. And commercial rates are still high. What is really going on at our electric Utility? Transparency has never been the city's strong point.
Some employees don't understand how the city can transfer so much of its electrical utility profit to the general fund and then continue to upgrade and simply maintain the asset. The city has always had a problem maintaining anything. Some employees are frustrated that they are not utilized well or that they are all not treated the same when it comes to raises.
The question remains, where is the External Audit for 2017? Why is it taking so long? And where is the Internal Auditor, Mr. Brown? When will the public be informed?

Quote of the Day - Jeff Sessions on Zero Tolerance
“The American people have been begging and pleading with our elected officials for an immigration system that is lawful and that serves our national interest — one that we can be proud of. There is nothing mean-spirited about that. They are right, decent and just to ask for this. But for more than a decade now, the elites and Washington insiders have prioritized the interests of certain corporate interests and activist groups over what is best for the American people.
Under the laws of this country, illegal entry is a misdemeanor. Re-entry after having been deported is a felony. Under the law, we are supposed to prosecute these crimes. Accordingly, I have ordered our prosecutors to pursue 100 percent of the illegal entries on the Southwest border that DHS refers to us. If you cross the Southwest border unlawfully, then the Department of Homeland Security will arrest you and the Department of Justice will prosecute you. That is what the law calls for — and that is what we are going to do. Having children does not give you immunity from arrest and prosecution. It certainly doesn’t give immunity to American citizens.”
~ Attorney General Jeff Sessions

Fane Lozman wins again against Riviera Beach
U.S. Supreme Court hands Fane Lozman second win against Riviera Beach
Read about it... and this fantastic win for Fane Lozman. This guy is a hero in my book.Zachary Cruz - obtaining his American Dream
17 year old Zachary Cruz got caught up because of the evil deeds of his brother. He was arrested March 19 on a misdemeanor trespassing charge at
Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, where his brother
fatally shot 17 people on February 14. There were conditions set by the court that he proceeded to ignore. The court then ordered that he be monitored through an ankle bracelet. He, once again, broke the conditions.
He went before the judge who agreed that he could move to Virginia--that Nexus was funding housing and providing a job. He is now suing the ankle bracelet company. They ensure that he will go to work, check in with his probation officer and attend therapy.
The company helping him, Nexus Derechos Humanos (Nexus Services) that is under investigation by a federal agency and three states for its business practices, is also funding a federal lawsuit against prosecutors, a judge and jail employees in Broward County on Cruz's behalf. Nexus has a branch that provides immigration bond service and assists undocumented immigrants caught up in the legal system.
This is what you call "the American Dream"-- the right to sue and possibly make a lot of money. Get free rent, a $13-an-hour handyman position and a company in love with illegal immigrants footing lawsuits and a few basics of life all for free. Perhaps Nexus is doing a good thing for all the right reasons...perhaps. But for some reason I think this kid, who already is dealing with the evil horrors of his brother and just wants to be a normal kid, is being used.

Tuesday night's Commission Agenda
Following are a few things on the Consent Agenda for Tuesday:
- Automated License Plate Readers and Surveillance Cameras: The Authorization provides for the use of $332,012 in surtax funds for the acquisition and installation of Automated License Plate Readers and Surveillance Cameras throughout the City to be monitored by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.
- Interlocal Agreement with the CRA for the acquisition and development of property in our downtown for parking lots. This will also be from the penny sales tax of $1,230,000.
- The City’s three year Collective Bargaining Agreement with IBEW for the period of October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2018 includes a re-opener clause allowing for the negotiation of wages each fiscal year. Pursuant to the re-opener clause, the City says that it has engaged in productive negotiations with IBEW. The bargaining team for each party tentatively agreed to a 3% wage increase for the fiscal year October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018, subject to ratification by the employees and approval by the Commission. The IBEW Membership voted in favor of such increase in June 2018.
- No one responded to the RFP on the Beach Equipment Rental Concession contract with Oceanside Beach Service so their contract has been extended to 9-30-18.
