I knew this idea was not dead and it would come back.

And give themselves raises in advance for the next 3 years. Now that they have given us the highest taxes in Palm Beach County, the sky's the limit on how much money they can grab for themselves and their friends.

Why do we have to keep voting on the same questions, over and over again. No doesn't mean no anymore, it just means; try again next year. We never make any progress. If the people in this little area of lower case lake worth, would just drive through Upper Case Lake Worth once in a while, they might learn what you can do with a well run town. Instead of trying to aspire to do better, they would rather bring everyone down to their level. That's why we never get good leadership. All of our leaders have the village mentality.

I think the mayor should concentrate on her husbands health rather then the poor health of a dying city and andy just plain uneducated

It seems to me, when I moved here about 12 years ago, we had some grown ups running things. Then, the hippies took over, and we've had some combination of hippies and anarchists in power ever since. We don't even have a Chamber of Commerce anymore. There is no grand plan. West Palm Beach is about twice the size of Lake Worth, so given the math, couldn't we at least do half as good? Big Deal! We are going to fix some of the pot holes. Maybe it would be better if some of the blocks were just swallowed up.

WPB is 3 x larger than we are. I like that idea on "some of the blocks." Years ago Bo Allen said that the city should be bulldozed. There is something to that statement especially if you consider that many of our streets just got worse.

We have a few anarchists and socialists but they're not the problem in this city. They weren't the ones who shut down our Chamber and had it merge with the Greater PB Chamber. They weren't the ones who didn't honor our Heights Charter Amendment. They weren't the ones who made Lake Worth the highest taxed City in PB County. The list goes on.

And they do have a "grand plan." It's to grab the cash...shut everyone up...fix a few potholes...let the owners of the Gulfstream jerk them around...keep their heads in the sand and rave about The Cottages...and allow businesses to take it in the arse with a 30 year bond tax.
