Accusations flying in Palm Beach County Judicial race

I have met both these candidates, Bradley Harper and Ettie Feistmann, and like them both. I have no clue as to whom is more qualified but one thing for sure, they are both impressive people.

County Court, Group 15: Esther “Ettie” Feistmann vs. Bradley Harper

The Palm Beach Post article says that Harper accused Feistmann of falsely saying he violated canons and consequently would be removed from office if elected. He also said she improperly publicized endorsement from a candidate in a contested state Senate race. Commission found Feistmann shouldn’t have used the endorsement. Also said it appeared Feistmann’s supporters made statements about Harper but warned her not to let them make statements she can’t legally make herself.

Feistmann accused Harper of 11 violations. Commission found three — not having proper disclaimers on campaign materials, posting a photo of himself with U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings and making false statements about Feistmann’s qualifications — violations of canons. Cleared Harper of other violations and didn’t rule on one.

Bradley Harper would be the better choice. If you plan to vote, he has demonstrated his qualifications for many reasons. Most importantly, we need a Judge who is an excellent listener, well organized, and is serious about seeking justice based on facts presented, without prejudice. Mr Harper fits these descriptions.
His opponent, Ettie Feistman, has shown through actions and decisions from the past that she does not posses these important characteristics. She has mentioned that she has always wanted to be a judge, yet she cannot really tell you from the heart the real reasons why she wants this position. Let the truth be told.
