Unless I had read the Lake Worth Tribune, I would not have known that E. R. Bradley's dropped that name on January 1 and are now just using The Beach Club. This makes me wonder if changing the name affects their lease with the city.

Yes, that's the lease.
The lease is with E.R. Bradleys Triple Crown Club L.W. d/b/a E.R. Bradley's (Lagoon Saloon).
They pay us $3,000 a month. The city of Lake Worth is solely responsible for all utility fees and costs, including but not limited to: telephone, electricity, garbage removal, sewer and water service
$3,000 a month is a lot! I don't think this is one of those deals where Lake Worth came up short. There are lots of those but this isn't one of them...even with the city paying for electric, garbage. How many hamburgers and steaks do you have to sell to pay rent? I love Bradley's, or The Beach Club, or whatever its called. I'm always happy to visit and help them pay that rent!
Why the Beach club? They aren't on the beach. They should be the On The Way to the Beach Club.
It's basically a wash, anonymous at 8:42. The city picks up the tab for everything else. We don't make anything there. Consider Benny's on the Beach that pays us $20,000 a month and pays for all. The Beach Club is definitely what you can describe as "free" enterprise.

love the Beach Club, what an improvement, people now actually go there for lunch or dinner. But why foes the city lock in rent rates for years and years? There should be some kind if hybrid, base rent plus percentage of profits. As business gets more successful, city profits increase. We do a horrendous job of managing our properties.
