Same play; different stadium--The Political Game

Someone just sent the following article with his comments--I thought it interesting--food for thought:

Michigan voters soundly reject Proposal 1 road tax plan
We are not the only ones with infrastructure problems in Lake Worth (the whole country is broke and bogged down with pension liabilities) but the people have gotten smarter and lost trust in governments to do the right thing (which they don't )-- it's all about special interests..the game that has always been in effect...only now, we have reached the end of the game because of debt and cost of living increases along with the fact that wage earnings no longer can cover our standard of living so we will not vote for one penny more for tax increases.

The people of Michigan might have voted for road improvements if it were to have been very clear, but that was not the case--our system is a fraud.

This proposal in Michigan was just like the bond proposal in Lake worth with all the hidden pork in it and the people saw right through it--same play, different stadium--the politico's game.
