American Oystercatchers at Lake Worth Lagoon

Comment Up

Thanks Gael Silverblatt and Lynda Mahoney (two former/replaced by politics Lake Worth Planning & Zoning members) for alerting officials on these American Oystercatchers that are nesting in Lake Worth just north of our bridge.  The Environmental Resources Management Department is working in shifts to protect the birds.

Read about it...

"replaced by politics" What the hell does that mean? Actually, they were not qualified. Their appointment was political.

They most certainly WERE qualified. Look, do me a big favor--don't come over here with your BS...keep it over on the bully's blog where history is twisted and re-written on a daily basis. Thanks very much.

It is so great that these islands are attracting rare wildlife. As for the board replacements, claiming that residents are not qualified to serve because they are not developers or real estate agents was simply a ruse to replace citizens who care about preservation, the environment, etc. It seems odd that we require our boards to be filled with people who want to raze our buildings and not preserve them, what I would call a perverse preservation plan. Rather, these boards should be filled with folks from a variety of backgrounds and view points.
