The CRA paid $287,000. for this. The same CRA that is always crying broke.

Can anyone find the prior owners,
the price paid and when?

What a waste of money!

These properties were boarded up and not really that bad comparetively speaking. The CRA must have something in mind--they usually do.

Actually there is another parcel involved in this demolition...did not do the research for it. I did hear, however, that they are going to build a Sober house on the property. :)

Yep, don't bother rehabbing cute little old houses, or giving people some incentives to rehab them. Just mow them down so a developer can build something huge, ungainly and totally out of scale with this one-story neighborhood!

The plans for this strip are government buildings--a government center. This started with Jeff Clemens and continues on today. Bornstein wants a new city hall and the present one turned back into an auditorium.

Are they going to start printing money next or haven another bond?

I believe the long range plans call for more mixed use development along this commercial corridor. Makes sense. I was hoping for more along the lines of the Urban Arts Lofts.

Things are starting to look up for this area of the Western neighborhood.

they say we are in emergency mood because of no money, then pam went on tv and said we are fine with our finances---what are they pulling know---someone is lying and what money are they using now--I call the cra about grants for busineses and they say they don't have money for years now---investigate the cra now

The CRA suffered the same dilemma as the city when our property values fell more than any city in the county. Part of that was the fact they rose, percentage-wise more than most cities as well. Now the pendulum is back on the up-swing and Lake Worth is catching up posting a rise in value of 8.2% compared to a county average of 5.4%.

Good news for the city and good news for the CRA.
