Quiet Zones - All Aboard Florida

Comment Up

Shannon Materio, West Palm Beach City Commissioner is all in favor of All Aboard Florida.  She was lobbying in Washington last week and thinks the millions it would take to have quiet zones on the FEC is a good use of taxpayer dollars. It is just one more thing that falls into the agenda.

Read about it... and see the video.

Also, Read about All Aboard Florida projected to cost ONE BILLION more than expected

A new 32 times a day obstacle to add to the 1 1/2 mile FEC freight trains, tri-rails every half hour, and passenger trains' inconvenience, in addition to bridge openings, will make it very difficult to get through the east- west corridors in a timely and convenient manner.
The noise will further destroy the peaceful Floridian ambiance and as we see in Thursday's PB Post, there is a a 67% cost over-run before the project has even started.
Another government-developer boondoggle to soak the taxpayers.
