Road work on 7th Avenue North up for Commission approval

Tonight Phase Two will be approved for road work on 7th Avenue North from Dixie Highway to Federal Highway. The contract was won by M&M Asphalt Maintenance not to exceed $308,174.00.

One year ago, during the last administration, commencement of Phase One began on extensive work  of the sidewalks, curbing, and roadway on 7th Avenue North from North “A” Street to Dixie Highway. This work was completed at a total cost of $456,198.

Man, the people on that side from Dixie to Federal are going to be pissed if they put a bike trail on 7th now and do away with all that parking on the street on that side of the city like they did from A Street to Dixie, a lot of people park on North 7th Street, wonder if there is going to be a big flare up when all of that happens and they take away all the parking on another street?

Those sinkholes and huge bumps from the degraded sewer lines should outweight any complaining! Next should be done is 6TH AVE south from Dixie to Federal! I have seen boat trailers fall off hitches from those bumps!!!
