They eat fish and hang out with other birds that just poop. The only thing they are looking for while flying overhead are fish. They have a small brain and just swim around all day wondering what's up.
It's too bad they don't hang with birds of a different kind. They would get a totally different perspective and might just see the light for a change. They might also realize that all birds have a right to an opinion and they shouldn't get so bent out of shape about it. Hang out with adult birds, Pete. :)

Birds are notoriously stupid. This one is no exception. Hang tough.
Pelicans are great birds. They see a lot of things when they are flying over head.

No one gives a damn about what Pelican Pete says. No one reads that paper.
That pelican used to have a little bit of a sense of humor, but now he just sounds bitter and mean.
