As a Maxwell supporter, I was very disappointed in his offered compromises to commissioners McVoy and Mulvehill on Heights and their Petition Drive motions. Some issues are core and cannot be compromised on without compromising your basic principles. Also, Maxwell sat in the minority long enough to know that there is no compromising to reach agreement with the Cara Cabal Candidates. They just take your offered compromises and use it as the next negotiating base---as they did with the 2 Maxwell offered compromises.
You people are so ridiculous talking about Cara cabals. The pathetic thing is I thing you actually believe all the lies being told to you. Scary that people are so much like sheep when it comes to politics. You all are tools of the Lindseys, Maxwells, and the rest of the power grabbing bunch.
Maxwell offered a Height compromise at 55 feet and a Petition Compromise with a ZIP till March, 2013. Neither was discussed, much less countered by either Commissioners Mulvehill or McVoy. So much for the Spitit of Compromise from the cara cabal Elected commissioners.
No clue as to what you are suggesting. Nothing can be done until after the election because we have a certified petition. What compromise? There is no compromise during this process. So much for trying to compromise due process. Was that the compromise?
From agreement with eachother and the P&Z at the golf course meeeting. To a total flip for the majority at the next public meeting? What happened? Obviously Mother Superior,Lame Duck and Mr. I'll second that are meeting out of the sunshine.Lame Duck, how much did FPL offer you to keep an internal auditor away from our electric?
He offered 55 feet in the TOD area - big compromise. Don't know what they are talking about with the ZIP zoning. Maxwell was one of three who turned down ZIP zoning. It was the first recommendation of the new City Manager - to turn down the ZIP zoning and $100M in new investment. That new investment would have generated 500,000 in new tax revenue starting next year. Amount of investment waiting for our comp plan now....a big fat ZERO.
