Coming tomorrow...

Comment Up

Jim Stafford must be counting on the fact that many people will not recall his past shenanigans or he is hoping that the turn-over of residents will not be aware of them. Perhaps he has simply aligned himself with what he considers the "in crowd" or he's hoping that all the personal attacks from the "cabal" against Commissioner McVoy over the past two years will stick.

Back in May 2008, one of his his "best buds," Wes Blackman said, "Some people see politics as a way to grab power and seek control - I only seek the best representative for District #2. I think Jim is it and I am helping him with his campaign." He never gave the reasons why he thought this. Stafford dropped out of this campaign four years ago but Blackman is back ready, willing and able to help.

Regardless of what prompted him to run for commissioner once again, tomorrow Jim Stafford, Candidate for District 2, will be remembered on this blog.

Grabbing power, that's all they are doing by running Stafford.

To answer an anonymous comment that was not published about why I am referring to them as the "in crowd" now and not the Dirty Dozen--Stafford attacked some of the dirty too.

Stafford's blog was so evil and hateful, Wes' is also. They love to sensationalize, not show all sides, and to be very evil and hateful to many. I never respected Wes after he ran, as he ran an attacking campaign, that is why he didn't win. Not sure about Stafford yet, but his blog was nasty, a National Enquirer type of shady news reporting and gossip. Wes never publishes anything contrary to what he believes, he is very unfair and ungodly in many ways. He needs our prayers. Stafford is using his stand on families for running, he seems to know how to frame things, we will see how it all works out in November, but based on Stafford's past, I do not have much hope for him.

...and of course, when the " cabal " was in full assault mode, it was okay to run drautz, Jennings, golden, Clemens, mulvehill and Mcvoy...

No power grab there, was there?

In fact, you would have preferred to keep that old lineup because that was the model of diversity and shared power that embraced the best interests of the entire community...

One thing is for sure, if hypocrisy ever becomes a commodity, the town will prosper like no other...

Wes, Stafford and friends were all at city hall. Most sat on the back row as usual or close to it. We might all be in for a sleazy ride over the next 60 days. :)

The difference in the commissioners you mentioned is, they were/are not intellectually challenged. They were/are not mean people. They were and are honest. They actually made some great decisions for this City, even Jennings in spite of her anarchist BS that she never hurled on we the residents, unlike the present trio. Did they do everything I liked? NO. Arizona 1070 comes to mind. The Mentoring Center comes to mind.

Wasn't it John List who murdered his entire family? So much for family men.

Anonymous at 9:34--Stafford needs to reach out to everyone in this city, not his chosen few. He first needs to set his past record straight, if he can. It is easy to talk the talk and the past values of a candidate are extremely important in order to evaluate him in the present.
