Today, Lake Worth Mayor Pam Triolo and Commissioner Christopher McVoy were interviewed by WPTV, Channel 5 News regarding the atheist, Preston Smith. As you recall, four of the five commissioners walked off the dais before he gave his invocation. "Duly noted," said Smith.

This segment will be on tonight between 5 and 5:30.

The mayor will be defiant to the end. mcvoy was on top of it.

The whole thing made me very uncomfortable so I stopped watching.

Instead of reporting on the utility and the new contract with Orlando you waste time with this.

I don't think it's a waste of time at all. Neither did Channel 5. People are interested when our commission uses bully tactics and wants to suppress speech from certain people.

Prayer doesn't belong in City meetings, and now 4 of the City commissioners have sent the message that they will only listen to those that are religious. Absolutely discriminatory and I bet the City ends up getting sued, as they should, but costs us all for this stunt.

9:08, you really sound like one of thosedumber than dirt ghetto living citizens who are against everything.

More confirmation that this guy deserved to have our Mayor and Commissioners walk out. As a Father I applaud all four of them for doing what was right. In my eyes McVoy should be ashamed of himself. He was allowed to speak, therefore he can not sue. The commissioners have the freedom not to listen, his rights do not include a forcibly captive audience. This man is even being admonished by real atheists. The circus is back in action.

Merry Christmas,

Mark, you are entitled to your opinion. Thanks.

If there is any "circus" here, it was not vetting him correctly. If the city can prove he had a tweet that was off base, then he should have been "uninvited."

Then again, there are plenty of people who have spoken in front of the commission that have said a lot of different things that are offensive to some. Even James Addison said "shit" and was removed from the chamber. Where do you draw the line?

Your biggest atheist fan thanks you again, Lynn.

I'm not a huge Smith fan, but I get that his tweet was a reference to how in the Bible there are many supposedly "God- approved" rapes.

He must have realized that many would take it out of context and be shocked. Oddly enough, no one knows the Bible like an atheist. And no one screws it up like a Jehovah's Witness.

Love ya Lynn!
