The Race Card and the Greens

When I think about it, being called a “racist” ticks me off more than anything anyone could attribute to me. All of us who believe in immigration but want people to enter our country legally and become citizens have been subject to this abuse. I was just recently. There is no talking to these people. Now a Commissioner wants to force new construction in our city to be "green." Just the word "green" is getting old. (I threw that thought in here for the hell of it)

Last year the Federal government spent $2 billion of YOUR money jailing illegal immigrants. The Department of Homeland Security now wants to house these people in motels. Next it will include cable television. The government is also considering houses and nursing homes. This is a HUGE problem and we have people cheering the criminals on. Some of them live right here in Lake Worth.

Our nation was built with a rich tapestry of immigrants and we must continue to respect the potential contributions and RIGHTS of our new immigrants say the Green party. I agree to that. What I do not agree with is their encouragement of open borders. What I don’t agree with is their continued rhetoric that anyone who wants immigrants to take a legal path is really racial profiling. That is ALL BULL. What I do not agree with is that we all should condone and pay for this criminal activity. Their argument is, “well, they’re people too.” Yes, but they are also criminals. Anyone encouraging this activity is also a criminal.

The Green Party says--Preferential quotas based on race, class, and ideology should be abandoned for immigration policies that promote fairness, NON-DISCRIMINATION and family reunification. We oppose those who seek to divide us for political gain by raising ethnic and racial hatreds, blaming immigrants for social and economic problems.

Undocumented immigrants should be granted a legal status which includes the chance to become US citizens with minimal processing fees and credit for all payments into the Social Security System which have been placed in “Suspense Files.”

The Green Party of Florida says it wants an end to immigration quotas, INS and police abuses, and discrimination against aliens in this country. The Green Party here locally wants to do away with borders. "The border wall between the U.S. and Mexico constructed the same year that NAFTA passed needs to come down now. Too many people have died trying to seek a better life." Claudia Elquist, Pima County Green Party.

I had no idea what the Green Party’s ideology was. The only thing I knew was that they blamed corporate America on all our ills and they abhorred the disparity between the “haves” and the “have nots”…the guys who actually go out and work and make a living and become successful. There are radical left Green Party members that want to bring down capitalism and communicate their radical policies to Socialists. All of them, no matter the faction, already are Socialists. How come they don't know that?

And that is where we are in Lake Worth. It has become a forbidden subject. Not one candidate has addressed this issue. Why not? We have been totally invaded by a group of Global Justice folks, Environmental Coalition folks and The Green party with the very same goals. They found Lake Worth as every other liberal group has and now we are all struggling to stay afloat while our city caves.
