Quote of the Day - Wes Blackman

Comment Up
"You are aligning yourself with Lynn Anderson and Laurence McNamara and do not consider yourself a fool. O.K."

Wes Blackman

This is Blackman's personal attack/statement on Facebook against myself and Mr. McNamara for our attempt to bring awareness to the Lake Worth 2020 bond issues and its possible pitfalls, something the city has not done and will not do. The commission voted to grab $50,000 of taxpayer money to ensure that it will pass on August 26.

Mr. Blackman is a resident who lost two elections for city commission (one in 2007 and the other in 2009). The voters told him to "forget about it" but in-spite of his loss at the polls, he was appointed to the Historic Resources Preservation Board by the commission. He is its chair...someone who has a lot of influence and say on how our city will look and someone who advises our commission, another entity that has forgotten it represents ALL of the people.  Anyone on a city board should refrain from personal attacks towards other citizens.

We are all entitled to our opinions and should not have to endure the smears and petty politics from others. This is the most important vote of your life with the biggest price tag and one that will affect your pocketbook and your property for over thirty years.

"In seeking truth, you have to get both sides of a story."
~ Walter Cronkite

Wes Blackman said that? The only fool here, and I do mean only, is Charles Blackman. Wes, get back into your bunny suit. Wes, you're too young to be going through dementia. Was up Wes? Couldn't find your noodle today? This man is so unhappy that if he didn't have someone to slam every day he would sit in a corner and cry.

Thank you for pointing out the obvious, This commission does not want to hear anyone who makes sense as they are desperate,,,Don't give them any money,,,They spend it on?????having lunch at Mama Mia's.They use Blackman as a tool.

People have a fear about the other side of the story.

Mr.Blackman is an insignificant irritant. He has gone so far as to make videos trying to belittle the ROLO neighborhood. Why? We SHOULD be helping each other, but WES just can't understand that. He does not belong on any city board, much less as the chair.

Wes has to resort to name calling. He can't discus the issue in an intelligent manner.

nabob: any very wealthy, influential, or powerful person.

YES, YES, YES. You got another one right, Wes.

I actually prefer that he be open and honest about his feelings, he claims he is for preservation, but through his posts its easy to see he is pro developer/pro realtor. I'd rather know that since he serves on the historic "preservation" board.

Ain't no preservation goin on with that board. The city is getting uglier all the time. The most charming historic buildings are being ruined. Just look around. I will never forgive this commission for giving him that board. Never.

9:48 please post one example of charming historic buildings being ruined by Wes. Please explain how the city is getting uglier all the time.

To the person who just attempted to post a third party comment (rumor) about Mr. Dorsey, it was deleted. Please do not come here and personally attack people. If you have an audio of it, send it to me. Thanks.
This IS election time and people get very ugly and denigrate good folks. If you want to do that, stay on that bully's site.
Thanks again.

You're right. We never get both sides of the story. They trample on our rights and expect us to be happy. This whole thing is not about roads. They are so broke that they can't see straight.
