Only this commission would try to get a price before an INTERNAL AUDIT! We are already PAYING AN INTERNAL AUDITOR - Why isn't he doing his job 1st?

Well, it's good to know what an asset is worth. LW will be surprised to learn that it isn't worth what some are telling them it is. Good luck to whomever they choose to come up with a value. I am sure that if all 4 companies were working on this, there would be four different answers.

We need our utility to keep the city and stay afloat. For some reason there are some people (always the same people and on PACS) who want to sell it. I always want to ask, what's in it for them?

From clay Lindstrom, utility Director:

Lynn,

The Electric Utility Advisory Board was charged to consider 3 options for the electric utility--------(1) potential sale, (2) potential new power plant, (3) potential wholesale purchase power agreement.
The RFQ referenced is the first step in evaluating the financial aspects associated with the electric utility.

Do the people on the EUAB represent the range of opinions in the city or is it stacked toward selling? I don't know them, but I know who appointed them and the general slathering at the mouth to sell. That would seem a big mistake until property values go up. Cash in hand is never worth what guaranteed future cash flow is.
I am pleased that those who love LW can differ on fundamental issues but still talk about what matters.

Thanks Lazy, for your comment. It will be interesting to learn what it is all worth as long as the report is unbiased and not slanted toward a certain end..
